We head off to Trois-Pistoles. After a quick fuel run to town we stopped at the clubhouse and take a break.
 

We spot a bunch of fishing shacks up on land in storage. We take 567 to TQ5.

We pass by the Island and I can see some open water near the Island shore. 

We take 567 and make a left on 565. We cut across the orange local trail and back to 567. There’s a good amount of fluffy snow on the trail.

Day 8 220 Miles 
It’s snowing this morning. We head off to Ile Verte for a look. 

We take the local 40 over to 526. The trail is very nice. We get on 85 and day light is gone. Another great day. 
 
I see my photos are not posting in order. Not sure why.

We take 544 back toward the hotel. I haven’t been on this on yet. It looks like it’s a plowed road with not much of a base. It’s fine today but I’m not sure how it will look on a sunny day.

We drop down across the lake and get gas. 

We find the over look by the lake. Visibility is not optimal but it’s a nice view.

We take TQ55 over to St-Pamphile. We run to town and get gas then stop at the clubhouse for a break. It’s busy at the clubhouse today.

Back on TQ35 we head to Pohenegamook. Trail conditions are very nice. I check the 195 tune on the machine. It does well.

After lunch we take 557. The sky changes a few times along the way. We get some flurries and it clears up. Trail conditions are good.

TQ35 is in nice shape. Then it gets better.

We take TQ5 past Mont-Carmel and take the orange local over to TQ35.

Shortly down the trail you can see the north shore. 

Day 7 227 miles
It’s the coolest temperature of the trip so far 15 degrees.
 

Well better later than never.  I got back from riding Shawinigan on 2/9 and shortly after I get home I was invited by a couple fellow quebecriders Pipeman and Ike to join them on a Gaspe loop.  I have never been out there so I was excited to join them.  Arrived at Shawinigan (Drakkar) Friday evening and we left Saturday morning 2/15 on the sleds.  We ride to catch the “suburban” for a ride across the river. What crossing that was.  We rode along the north shore stopping to check out the snow mummies at Redemption as we worked our way to Percé.  We had a nice wind/snow storm overnight in Percé.  Rode up to murdochville then over to La Cache.  Worked our way up and over to lac Etchemin.  Then headed back to catch the “suburban”  ride and back to Shawinigan on 2/22.  1800 miles.  No issues or breakdowns.  Having those two guys leading my first trip out there was great.  They know their chit and it made things go smoothly.  I appreciate them inviting me along.  I will try and post some pics 

We stop for gas at the Shell station. We pass the pizza place with the wood oven stove and decided to go in. I like this place. We had a nice dinner and head back to RDL. We passed another groomer on the way back. Trails are shaping up.

Just before TQ35 we spot another groomer. We checkout the lakeside view. 

We hit some drifting then in tree cover it’s back to powder.

After the groomer we pass the open field approaching the Adventures Club. The wind has blown the snow away.

The trails were fluffy. It looks like people have been moving through. When we get to TQ5 we spot a groomer headed east.
