We went to the peaks from 1/25 to 1/27. We got some of the rain too, heavy at times. We just pushed through. I wish I waited until this week to ride the area. We stayed at HI for two nights and at Passion/Valinouet for two nights. We had a good time nonetheless. Saguenay Bill was and always is extremely helpful on where and what to do. He helps with breakdowns too. Doo D

Bill, Just wanted to thank you for your help last week. Although we hit the rain on 1-24 and 1-25 we had a good time. We stayed at Passion ski resort for two nights before coming back to the Holiday Inn. We left a day early for personal reasons on Thursday and did not see you to thank you. The views from the peaks in Monts Valin Est are outstanding. It was really worth those big hill climbs to get there. The Orange local trails further east in the mountains were the best riding of our trip. The rain washed away a lot of the snow near the Holiday Inn and caused some overheating problems for some in our group. From the looks of the recent posts the snow has returned for excellent riding once again. Just wanted to give you a big thank you for your help with passes, trail information, suggestions and help with the maps. Keep on riding in paradise. Doo D

Bill, I am coming to the HI and staying Sunday 1/24 as well as Thursday 1/28. Do you know if the hotel has rooms available in between? Me and the boys look forward to riding the Monts Valin and hearing about the current trail reports. Sounds like you are having a good time so far. Thanks for the daily riding updates. It looks like there was tons of snow. What sections of the Gaspe' are not open or not worth riding? I'll be there Jan 25 through Jan 28 and I'm trying to get all the information possible. The trail conditions web sites don't really tell the whole story. Any little bit of information would help. -Doo D
