dooright
After looking at the weather report of rain moving in Friday night the plan is to get a day ride in before the damage is done. Davemod04 and myself left Dave's place in Holland vt., it's a quick 15 miles to the crossing at Norton. Nice quick border stop and off into Quebec. Took the 521 to the local Sam's turnpike, it's all really good coverage so far . Top layer starting to loose its hard shell top for better steering and cooling. Grab the 523 north to the 55. Trails 55 in top shape, blue sky .. excellent riding. Weedon for lunch n fuel stop . Return back mixing it up a little. Take the 55 a little to the west, pick up tge 521 to 542 by Coaticook then south on 521 to the border. The afternoon sun and warmer temperature were taking a toll at rd crossings along with loose sloppy trails. All and all a great late season ride of 209 miles , definitely worth getting this in. As iceman was saying, the warmth brings out the critters ! 32 deer 17 turkeys and zero sleds out on the Quebec side. Have a great summer all ! mccaffrey
Very nice, this is the year to ride there longer, they had the snow for sure, I like at the smaller Highgate/ St. Armond customs where there is a house in the middle of both customs. davemod04
Definetly a fun ride. Hard to believe so much snow and trails still so many that good. The stitching together on little stretches of muddy roads the only sign that it's getting time to let go.....waahh. Glad we got the ride in. Perfect weather, great company.
