I was considering staying @ the Comfort Inn in Thetford Mines in Mid February 2015 with the wife and daughter. We will be riding over from Pittsburg. I was wondering how "tricky" it is to get to the Comfort Inn from the trail. The Comfort Inn receptionist stated after exiting the trail we would have to ride the sidewalk for a few streets. Because of her uncertainty how to access the Inn I am reluctant to commit to the Comfort Inn. I have previously stayed at the Balmoral a couple of times with the guys and find it easy to access but I am not crazy about the condition / decor of the hotel with the ladies. davemod04 Posted February 4, 2015 Report Share Posted February 4, 2015 Comfort Inn on west side of Thetford, on same main road as Balmoral but next to all services, gas, tim hortons, st huberts 150' same side of road, free continental breakfast, beer vending machine, free coffee, feeder trail about 1 mile brings you into gas station in a large parking lot by mc donalds across from st Hubert's restaurant with comfort inn about 150' down a sidewalk snowmobile/atv trail. not hard. nice place. stayed there many times. trails should all be almost perfect in that whole area.
