  1. Nice to see you can get it if you want it.
  2. Been flying out west the last 4 years to do that kind of riding mostly rather than QC touring. The Sled Den is on my bucket list now but looks like a lot of getting stuck and unstuck. Same as out west really but didn't see much open terrain there.
  3. Boondock Nation just posted a youtube riding at The Sled Den.
  4. Love it. Have fond memories of a wild night several years ago in the shit hole bar (Hotel La Patrie - across the street) in La Patrie after dinner at the Resto-Bar.
  5. Is this the same operation? The Sled Den. . . https://www.gaspe-snowmobile-adventures.com/snowmobile-rental-house.html
  6. Another possible option is Onx Off-Road as well. I know the QC trails are in there just not conveniently color coded as they are on imotoneige.
  7. True but no reason to sell off. Have ridden Yamaha my entire sledding era until we started back country riding. My Sidewinder is an absolute Quebec touring Maybach but I could care less. I have no problem buying renting or riding any other brand.
  8. Haven't been to Quebec since before the Plandemonium. Been hoping to organize some long weekend hops 2up with the ladies jumping off from Jackman but it hasn't materialized yet. This video has a weird section where the skidooers seemingly terrorize the townsfolk but it is quite entertaining. Gotta be playing in a Skidoo museum somewhere.
  9. am I interpreting this correctly? You drove off and spent the night Tuesday night you rode out and back on Wednesday spent the night again and drove home Thursday? One day of riding? And your riding buddy was battling bubbling bile while jiggling down the trails? Nice.
  10. Per the sepaq website you need to check in in town and use their transpo to get there. Looks cool but don't imagine they're very motoneige-friendly.
  11. Surprisingly difficult to track down. Search for Lac Barbarin and scan to the west. 48.837804, -66.707828. It would be off of 595 IF you could get up their access trail. 22 km S of TQ5 Don't use google. Google is evil. http://fcmq.fcmqapi.ca/i?s=IwGmGYE4DYHZIKzliA2gWgbYAmaAGEAFknHBAUgA4EkxoCBdEQ1YYSUnYKkdYBNDLMM7cFSJVwOMOHzZGQA&r=2 http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_03/1248774902_ScreenShot2023-03-29at3_45_00PM.thumb.png.b825af1cdb2bb901946270574f9ad2c1.png
  12. More than a little insulting this went on essentially all season. Those affected businesses must be livid over the Zec collecting probably no more than a few hundred dollars among people willing to pay it while their businesses were dampened nearly all season.
  13. Ravage is down "The Cleremont Express". Nice ride. Great lunch there when I've been.
  14. Still a great trail sled other than the helmet drone. Still have one in my garage.
  15. A $12 Hobby balloon with a ham radio hanging from it!
  16. Eastern Township riding is so nice when the snow is there. Very low traffic.
  17. Need to get them on google maps and at least a simple website too. Nice to see Riopel back.
  18. Some may not be, but I'm agitated at just the idea of being pulled over repeatedly and being asked for my papers.
  19. Pardon my dumb question. You no longer get a sticker to apply to sled? Does an annual pass give you a sticker? Kinda strange really. Gives them cause to pull anyone over for questioning. A little like a green pass.
  20. "which is working on a project aimed at better regulating off-trail snowmobiling in Québec" Going back to the beginning of this thread there does seem to be an "off-trail" or hors-piste focus to this. Seems the FCMQ is not even really up to speed on this from the article. "Ça manque de coordination pour bien comprendre ce qui s'en vient cet hiver, a affirmé le directeur général de la Fédération des Clubs de motoneigistes du Québec, Stéphane Desroches. On ne nous a pas consulté directement.' translated "It lacks coordination to fully understand what is coming this winter, said the director general of the Federation of Snowmobile Clubs of Quebec, Stéphane Desroches. We were not consulted directly.” Was the OP singled out because their equipment more resembles off-trail riders than saddlebaggers? Did the "Patrollers" assume they had been "Off-trailing" and that was could have somewhat been lost in translation? I could see where the Zec would want to, and institute a process to, charge people who are riding FCMQ trails to go explore off-trail in their park. What do the Zec ticket vehicle and patrollers look like?
  21. I hope they judge who are the early and late risers.
  22. That is a very good way to tow. Saw a video of that once. Can never find it now. Towed sled goes where you go.
  23. At least you are riding. C'est la motoneige. Think I woulda gone back but understand the wife thing. Had mine quit on me in St Anne De Beaupre looking over a steep downhill turn. Got the 2up seat for the Winder for that reason. She doesn't like that much either but will endure a quick trip for a hot chocolate. Good idea not to try 6 miles on 131.
