timbo
The potato brothers just got back from St-Donat. Drove up last sunday and got back to PA on wednesday. very good early season riding. the park actually had plenty of snow, though when we got on it monday morning, seems everybody and his brother had ridden over the weekend and it was pretty well pounded. (so much for the wisdom or waiting till the weekend was over to ride, eh?) The trail thru caribou into the park was open from st-donat. still no trails open on the lakes. The st-michelle relais in the park was just opening up, first day open was monday. We rode over to st-michelle and the trail from the park was not bad. Had lunch there one day and the coin lavigne the next. did not try to ride into st-come, though a number of guys said the trails were good (????). as usual, the notre-dame-de-la-merci trails pleased. They got about 8" of snow on tuesday, on top of the foot on the ground (in st-donat), so they are off to a good start. The troubles continue with the Pot. It is closed and we understand the people who bought it from Gaetan last year have gone back to Belgium. looks like a good year shaping up, lads. timbo
