  1. Heading back to camp in a few minutes and taking off for 100 Lacs in the morning. We are going to try and get an early start (yeah right…) as supposedly it’s supposed to snow 12-16 inches tomorrow. Oh well….this is snowmobiling NOT vacation. will try and update tomorrow night if the good lord let’s us
  2. I’ll bet NO ONE can guess where we are at ? LOL….. let me just say eating a club and fries outside right now SUCKS ASS this is ALL Justin’s fault and I will NEVER forgive him
  3. Got into camp yesterday at 4:20 (imagine that) LOL -22 F at camp this a.m first time ever my sled didn’t start. Battery is 3 years old now though. My buddies 1200 with a four year old battery did though, go figure. Found a new spot up on a hill overlooking Lac Chapeau-de-Paille this a.m. curtesy of the logging in the area this year. Never would have imagined the terrain in the area was like this and I have been coming here for 20 years now.
  4. Simply amazing pics and write up Mark!!!! How many times did you guys have to stop and deal with those trees? I’m assuming you were in the bush and plowed roads at times too ? we will be crossing the border within the hour and I will post back how the experience was.
  5. AWESOME trail pics !!! It dosnt get any sweeter. And glad you guys are having a great trip so far. WIndigo to Gouin off trail......sounds crazy enough but i'm sure you guys are prepared and ready. Cant wait to hear and see pics about that. My boat anchor dosnt like being off groomed trail so I would need a different machine to try that one. Did the fox come out at Windigo ?? He loves breakfast sausages. We tried to book there about 10 days ago for this monday but no go. Did you stay inside or the 2 story small cabin thats really neat.
  6. Agree Ice. I still do too but more for entertainment and amusement purposes versus when it used to be a necessity
  7. It appears the IMotoneige interactive map is offline. Funny how you become crack addicted to a tool that IMO was one of the BEST additions to Quebec snowmobiling. it’s like clockwork or having to take your meds everyday. If I miss an 7 a.m. or 1 p.m. update it’s rare or I’m offline somewhere. I remember years ago trudging through hotels and outfitters trying to find out about trail conditions from other riders that came in a different way then we did. And that was back then when the language barrier was far more difficult than today.
  8. Mark, I PM'd you my cell contact. We are going to be at the cabin sat before dark and in/out sunday also staying there sunday night. If you and the boys want to come up to the end of the M21 and hang for a bit we have more than enough fresh super unleaded to give you guys each a couple gallons. Would be cool to meet you guys. Dont know exactly what we are doing sunday but I have a feeling we wont be gone all day.
  9. Only the Cree up in Ouge-bigamau and Mistissinni have their reservations closed. The overly friendly Atikamek of Manawan & Wemotaci are still open. Gas and go as usual.
  10. can’t wait to flip the bird to that shit hole as we pass by this Monday. Heading straight for 100 Lacs from the camp. And your right Ice, I should get a pass for all the over priced canned peas, gravy and water infused gas I have purchased over the years. A couple of weeks ago was the straw on the camels back for me with that cesspool and that was before this circle jerk. NEVER again will anyone see my ass on that property. You’ll catch me at the end of the driveway out by the road having a cigarette or other consumables but not on the property. And in the HIGHLY unlikely event I do need gas I’ll hitchhike to SMDS just outta principle. Sad thing is I’m starting to have the same sentiments with Kanawata but can’t easily cut them out of the picture. Mario’s price gouging on the gas right before my eyes, humble attitude and club sandwich with no tomato and half the chicken as prior years didn’t sit well at all with me.
  11. Magnificent and....."all you need to know"........glad you had a GREAT trip. You are dead RIGHT....the extra hoops we have to jump through to get up there is a very small price to pay. I'm blessed to be able to ride where I do and the people I know and ride with (when not soloing). Said it a bunch before and will forever ....some of the VERY BEST snowmobiling in North America is .....WITHOUTADOUBT......Alliance du Nord .
  12. Je me souviens, couple questions how was the condition of the trail from Clova to Parent ? How strict were they at the Depanneur in Parent on Covid stuff ? Did you stop and see Norman at the new place in Casey "Camp de Base" ? Maybe we'll run into each other on the roadside in Parent again this year...LOL
  13. awesome pic !!!! Love taking breaks there and around the corner
  14. Just AWESOME....will be doing sorta the same starting saturday. Camp sat/sun, 100 Lacs (mon), Haltaparche (tue & wed) and back to camp thursday. maybe we'll run into each other. There will be either 3 of us or 4
  15. will hopefully be at the Marineau saturday mid day for another trip. Looking forward to it. Alain....simply amazing what you and Kristine do but is it not about time for a new jacket ...LOL...that one has to have 50,000 + miles on it by now....LOL....LOL They should hang that one in the Musee in Murdochville...LOL
  16. so....if I go to Canada.....and want to sit down and eat my Club Sandwich....I have to go to NB ? I dont ride over that way anymore unfortunately. There are NO RESTRICTIONS where I go....LOL
  17. Ice, did you and the wife not go riding recently up near there ? If so...why "crickets" on the voyage ?
  18. Alain, when was that video taken ??? Looks like every last fresh flakes have been beaten down and needs some fresh powder.
  19. Anybody know anything about this https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1851904/disparition-recherche-pourvoirie-kanawata-motoneige
  20. Jesus that club does look awesome !!! WAY better than Kanawata's. Glad you guys are having a good ride. I sure would like to take that helicopter for a rip.
  21. well that blows. still beats a good day at work though. Hope to see you again this winter (maybe in NY even)
  22. Stayed there a half dozen times. Loved the restaurant and pull your snowmobile up to your door type room. Besides the B&B that's been there for awhile (havn't been there yet) I think there is another smaller hotel between there and the grocery store if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully next season they will have a brand new one in it's spot.
  23. You gotta give credit to the clubs and the FCMQ for still opening and grooming this trail with the no gas situation. I’m sure there will be big signs up at each end warning people. will be interesting to see if some morons end up out there walking.
