  1. Great to see you RR as well as 603 Backcrounty. Yesterday we had a great ride. Went to Onatchiway for lunch and then took 484 which has been rerouted in parts. Then took 482 to 367. Stopped at the Tin Hortons in St Ambroise. Trails were great. Came upon this guy and helped him get out. The snow was chest high. After helping him, he never said thank you. When we went into Onatchiway he was there with his girl friend/wife. Still never came and thanked us for getting him out. Flatlanders LOL.
  2. When we left the Delta the temp was 32F,. About .4 miles on 83 it was 30. By the time we got to Herbertville it was 20F. It was snowing, trails were great. Then it snowed another 1-2" around 5 PM.
  3. The Saguenay club grooms their part of it Friday night/Sat. Can't say when the Charlevoix does their part. But it's a road so usually not too bad
  4. Lock was frozen. I took it inside for 1/2 hour. Fixed. This morning it rained very lightly for about an hour. 182 and I rode down 383 towards Ferland. About 7 miles from Ferland a new trail has been made right into Ferland. Most of the twisty trails have been removed. Ferland will have gas available from 8:30 til 10PM with the Credit Card. Had lunch at Ferland and then rode down to the jct of 383 and 83. Came back on 83. Trails were very good to good. Closer to the city the trails not as good but still rideable.
  5. Yesterday Daniel, Collect, Ginger, 182I had a great ride. Crossed over bridges got on 328 west thru Begin and Labreque to Alam and then to St Bruno for lunch at the Marchant Restaurant. Very nice and clean place and good food at a reasonable price. Then came back 383. Last night I was talking to my friend Bernard, who is in charge of the St Felix section. The gas in Ferland is credit card only, no cash.. Too many guys were gasing up and then taking off with out paying.
  6. As promised in my post 1 hour ago. I came upon this scene at the 23-83 split down near Lac Vert. Can anyone guess who just put their new 850, with less than 200 miles on it in the bushes? I was told, by the owner of the sled,"gee I was only going about 10 mph, I don't understand how this happened". Upon doing an accident investigation of the accident scene, I saw where the right ski was on the edge of the trail for over 100 feet which IMO indicated that there was more to this story than I was being told. A sobriety test was conducted on scene and it was determined that the rider was sober. So it was then determined that it was a case of the rider riding over his head. Who do you think it was?
  7. You bet JG, meet n' greet and have an adult beverage.
  8. Today, 182Ray, Daniel, Collect and I rode up to Mont Apica on 383 to 368 to 23 had lunch and came back 23 to 83. Trails were great. More to come on the 23/83 split.
  9. Dave we didn't go there on Sat but did on Sunday. See the above post. Bill
  10. Today 182Ray and I took the new trail, local 1, off 383 that took us to the Saguenay River and over to St Charles. The last mile is a goat path down to the River but very dooable . The temp was -22F at 7 AM, It was -15F at 12 noon. Had coffee at Relais du Lac and lunch at Mont Vilian. We then came back 367 to 83 to the pickle park trail. There were a couple of guys out trolling in the park. What a great cup of hot chocolate at Mont Vilain
  11. Very cold here today. High temp was 0F. Left the Delta at 10AM. Took 383, past ski hill in town, stopped at Spence's. Charlie and Cliff were there as Cliff had one of the special secrews for the manual reverse backed out so he had no reverse. About 11:30 we left Spence's and rode to Ski Bee Doo for lunch. We took 383, the new trail to the St Charles crossing is open, groomed and marked. Continued on 383 to 83/383 and then took 383 to 23 to SBD, which was packed After lunch took 23 to 93 to 367 back to the Delta. First day we did 100 miles. Trails were good for a Sat afternoon.
  12. Hi all QR Members JD and I arrived here in Paradise yesterday. All kinds of weather driving91. no up. When we hit VT it was snowing lightly on 91. When we hit 11 mile hill, mile marker 139 to 150 it was snowing very hard. Got to Barton, no snow. Got to border and it was a whiteout for about 3 miles, then sunshine. The roads from QC to L Etape where very slippery. Mostly packed snow, it was -8F. Once past L Etape roads were decent. Today I unload truck and trailer, got sleds out of trailer, dropped trailer and went to Wally World for a pair of slippers as I left mine home. Wally World was packed. Then when and got truck washed. Waited 1 hour for that as there were 10 cars ahead of me. Will get out riding tomorrow. Lots of snow here and all trails are open except the crossing at St Charles which was suppose to be open. I'll find out why, but probably a land owner issue. Bill
  13. Great police work. Now I just hope the judge doesn't give him a pat on the hands and turn him loose. Thanks for posting Ice.
  14. Mac builder from what I've heard it is good. I going up Thursday. I will star posting Sat. You got more snow in Milton than we have in Franconia.
  15. If you are starting from the 4 Points Hotel in Quebec City and going to the Delta in Jonquiere it is about 170 miles, going up 3 to local trail, just north of St Anne, that connects to 369, to 23 to 368, 383 to 83.
  16. Hi JG Hope your Dad had a great birthday. Bill
  17. There will be folks riding up there next week that will know first hand and they will be posting. Revct1 will be there and he will post.
  18. I don't know for certain but I would be surprised if it wasn't. Be a lot of snowmobilers riding out of there.
  19. There is a Petro Canada where 83 and 23 split. We were first ones to buy gas there several years ago. Guys were just finishing up installing pumps. Petro T is just down 23 from there. Trails runs right in front of it.
  20. I don't see him on the list of advertisers. Some years back he was an advertise here on QR.
  21. Hey BJ while you're there ask him to become an advertiser on the site. He's getting lots of free advertising.
  22. Take 23 to 368, about 20 miles north of Mont Apica Relais. 368 is a rightturn at the big sign for Lac St Jean that is across the trail. It is 45 miles from there to the Delta. 368 intersects 383 30 miles from where you picked up 368. The Delta is 15 miles from the intersection of 368/383. Make a left on 383. 13 miles later 383 intersects 83, go straight at the intersection, about 1 mile later you will go under Highway 70, just after tunnel, make a right. About a mile later you will see the Delta straight ahead of you. Tallest building in town.
