    Riding over the border has always been our option, especially on Saturdays. Trail 65 is now open and rerouted to Woburn. Be safe!

    My group had to use the SPOT 3 a few years ago in Maine. A fireman came across the accident and went to higher ground to call out with his radio. They were already on their way. It performed as advertised in this case.

    There is good information from this thread. It is always interesting to see what others carry. I also carry a GPS emergency messenger device. For those that have a satellite phone wouldn't necessarily need this. It can be used for any emergency situation, whether it is your group or another group. http://www.findmespot.com/en/
