Nope, I heard his wife was away on a 2 week trip and he was doing summer maintenance on the sleds in the living room and made a mess on the hardwood floors. Then mistakenly used his wife's favorite towels ( you know the ones.... ) to wipe it up. He felt he had a week to "make it right" At that time his wife called from the airport to say she was home early..... He panicked... LOL! GutZ

I believe the the bearing failed and spun in the dog bone. Essentially clearancing by thousandths of an inch, I hope the Green Locktite holds up and I will revisit it later. Later GutZ

Hey This appears to be a new update on FireFox, it allows you to turn OFF security upgrade to secure connection, for a site. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2025_04/image.png.d7e61350235f14619d2f0d0dfbfe2c0b.png Turn it off and it will default to http instead of https, allowing reactions, posts, etc... Give it a try and reply with findings. GutZ

Quick update on the Bearings, ALL were dry, 3 had seals fall off, these were all NTN\Japanese bearings.... FYI on the small wheels, the bearings are the odd 1/2 metric\ 1/2 SAE type. 6202 - 5/8ths. The standard 6202 , I believe, has a 15mm ID. I'll find the link on the Jungle site. Also I am working with Val to create greaseable shock bushings. Later GutZ

Dealing with the IT world... it has really shown that the Warranty is to Protect the Manufacturer NOT the Consumer from defects and workmanship. In most cases the Manufacturer sell the liability off to a 3rd party, essentially an insurance company, and they "Manage the Risk". So think Health Insurance, Deny-Defend-Depose...... sooner or later most of us will be " Screw it I'll do it myself". Sled Stuff, not medical, although.... I could replace a hip or knee.... just not on myself.... I dont think I could get the angles right to twist that far, and then drive the implant into the bone..... But I digress... Warranty protect the Manufacturer NOT the Consumer, but the consumer pay for it. Later GutZ

FYI Since finding those bearings.... less than optimal..... I reviewed all the bearings, Driveline, wheels, upper lower etc.... 90% notchey and dry..... especially behind the brake rotor. To be continued.... GutZ

It is, but nothing is all twisted up so far.... so thats a plus!!! LOL GutZ

Well, we are wrapped up for the season and I dug in to our new ( to us ) 24 xTerrain with the PPS3 suspension. I called up Val at Mainway Solutions and got a bunch of his stuff. While putting in the bushings, I noticed that the Dog Bone Links seemed floppy... So apart they come. They contain 4 bearings. 3 were notchy and the 4th is good and seized. All 4 fell out of the dog bones, I think they spun and may have clearance. So before they do the same to yours... replace the bearing. They 6000 2rs, easily found on the Jungle Site. I feel you are correct, as secure connection encryption marches forward, less and less will work and work arounds will become more odious. Need a plan. GutZ

At the bottom where it says quebecrider.com, if you click on it, it will most likely show that it is: httpS://www.quebecrider.com/..... Try removing the S and use http://www.quebecrider.com it's a PITA, but it should allow it to work. we need a plan..... GutZ

IF you can change the address you are using to http instead of https, it may allow you to do stuff ie: http://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.php?/topic/18276-round-9/#comment-122272 instead of https://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.php?/topic/18276-round-9/#comment-122272 Does that make sense?
