  1. Enjoy! I hope you post about the trip. Sorry I can't help regarding parking.
  2. Merci. Good everywhere else? My email notification showed no worries before you edited? Merci encore.
  3. A (Non Computer) friend from Western Mass. is heading to Alma Monday. Sounds like he is meeting some friends from somewhere in Quebec. He is worried about conditions. I would like to pass on any information and recommendations you guys can provide. Thanks very much.
  4. I would love to produce some nice videos like that. I just don't have the patience or skill to deal with it. I decided I wasn't going to carry the gear also. A quarter Ceuntury (plus) ago I rode Quebec a lot, and never made restervations at all. Now it is essencial, but like you, I make them only one day in advance. This leaves the options open as much as possible to deal with weather, break downs, illness, and trail conditions.
  5. I highly recommend. A beautiful Province. The weather can be challenging and discouraging at times though.
  6. What an awesome report! Thank you for sharing! I wish I had the techno skills, and patience to deal with the gopro and it's batteries.
  7. Are you taking the CAT from Bar Harbor? I realize time is always a factor, but Personally, I would skip the 600 mile trailer drive to Bar Harbor. Trailers are for snowmobiles and boats..😀😎I would ride from N.Y and enjoy the ride through Northern Vermont, NH, and Maine and on into New Brunswick, all the Way to North Sydney, Nova Scotia where you get the ferry. Newfoundland ( The Rock) is absolutely beautiful. I have been several times, and plan to go again. The Newfies are a great friendly group of folks. I am personally fascinated by the Icebergs. They start floating down from the glaciers in Greenland in April (Titanic). However it is still snowmobile season in April. You will likely see more bergs in early June, vs. late June. But bring good rain gear and heated gear. You can encounter cold and wet weather any time of year there. My wife will never go again on Motorcycle. There is an app to track the bergs. Also speak to as many locals as you can. There are a lot of interesting characters, and most are very friendly.I spoke to one fellow that told me the previous year a berg floated into the cove near his home. He tied an anchor line to it, and enjoyed Ten Thousand year old ice in his drinks all summer. Below are some pictures from my solo 2019 Motorcycle Trip. Enjoy your trip! I hope you will post some details and pictures. 2019 Newfoundland Motorcycle Trip
  8. Iceman, what are you running? I recall Mrs Ice mentioning them.
  9. Indeed. I have come to same opinion. I just want to make good purchases.
  10. What are my best options? I am running a 21 Viper LTX GT. My last trip convinced me I need these things. Thanks very much.
  11. We left the Northern Door Inn in Fort Kent yesterday at 0652, 14 degrees F. Trails in town were groomed and hard. My friend's sled , a 2023 Renegade Enduro 900 Turbo started overheating immediately. We could not understand , as we had encountered similar conditions each of the previous three mornings, and his sled ran consistently cooler than my 21 Viper.Neither of us have scratchers. We will before we ride again. Going into the fields did not help. We had stopped three times in one hour, and only got fifteen miles. I knew somebody staying in the area, and he picked up my friend and his sled at a road crossing. I rode to the truck, and drove the 61 miles back North to pick him up. Overall great trip, with some great conditions, despite daily temperatures approaching or reaching 40 degrees F. We put on 1000 miles, and this concludes our 2023 Snowmobile season. Already looking forward to visiting Quebec in the "Off Season" And hope to be able to ride more, and further into Quebec in 2024. Here are the photos of our trip. 2023 Last trip photos
  12. Regarding the lost GPS, I was hunting for mine Thursday morning in Amqui. I take it off the mount and put it in a leather case. As I was getting my stuff together to put on the sled in the morning, I could not find the leather case. I had left it sitting on the dash of the sled...
  13. Yesterday we rode from New Richmond to Matane. The 595 was pretty good up La Cache. It got rough after that, as was the 5 all the way to Matane. Today we had a fairly early start. 0648. We got into Fort Kent, Maine at 1:30. Great trails all day. 206 miles. Tomorrow we have a little over 100 miles to the truck. It's warm here this afternoon, so we will hit it early tomorrow again, and hope some grooming got done. Supposed to go down to 12° F here tonight. Photo album link has been updated..
  14. Yup. At the restaurant in the Hotel Le Francis in New Richmond.. It was good .
  15. Thanks very much. It was 42° F when we arrived in New Richmond this afternoon. Hoping things are cooler tomorrow. Would like to make the last trip longer. Don't want to return to Maine in the snow or mud though..
  16. I have having trouble uploading pictures on my phone. I have updated the photo album link I posted previously. Photo album
  17. Assiette Brunch this morning. Staying in New Richmond tonight. Trails very good most of the day. Getting thin near the coast though. Heading up the 595 tomorrow morning.
