This will make it to provincial politicians and be solved. It's public land. Just gonna take time unfortunately.

How much traffic does that road see? How about closing one lane to traffic. Make it a temporary snow covered snowmobile lane. Put a set of construction lights in to manage vehicle traffic. That or if the current isn't fast in the river how about some docks. Put a floating solution in if they can find a spot far enough upstream to not be effected by the tides.

If you can make La Bannick at Ville Marie its really nice. Probably too far for one day though from Maniwaki.

TQ308 seems to be hit and miss. If it's open you should be good. Be sure to grab fuel in Swisha. She's 200 km of nothing between Swisha and Temiscaming (some sleds wont cover that distanceon one tank). It's nice country through there. But very remote. Usually sees a groom once a week. Takes the groomer from Temiscaming 3 days to cover it and return to town. He has a small bldg he stays in to overnight it mid way. Have a great trip.

I've heard good things about both, but unfortunately haven't stayed at either. Im pretty sure there is parking for your rig at the Temrose. Out of curiosity how are you getting from Maniwaki to Temiscaming with TQ63 closed? Or are you comparing the two as options to start your trip?

Seems like a good setup. Put more hours on the groomer = get paid more.

This keeps getting funnier. Can't make this crap up. We have an issue. So instead of fixing it add a sticker and tell customers they have to buy our new product. Priceless. I dropped buying Polaris after my 2001 blew up. Am thinking that was a good decision.

Wow!!! Dam lawyers. That's ridiculous.

Bridge issues. I think there may have been some disagreement with the local indigenous folks as well.

I'd e-mail the v'al dor club.

Thanks. Definitely not a shareholder. Will probably get bought up for pennies on the dollar. They have some tech that a few companies will be interested in.

Where are you reading that they're done? Manufacturing stopped. But sales still appear to be moving forward. Website is still up. Was there another announcement since April?

Lol I'm definitely not familiar with local rules and regs on forestry road operations. But I don't know how the logging truck isn't at fault when he hit a parked half ton.

Wasn't it just a matter of filling in a bunch of zeros for the vin?

Not a bad plan.

Wow. Wonder if the structural steel was compromised from the heat. I'd like to think lightning, but I can't see the main steel structure not being the first to take the hit. You'd see those marks in the steel. Absolutely ridiculous that clubs have this to deal with.

It is a big system for private solar. Issue is solar performance drops considerably in the winter when these guys need it to work. You get 1/2 the daylight at our latitude which equates to half the power and then snowy days where the sunlight is reduced considerably. So I'd bet they've oversized to accomodate for that. When looking at these microgrid systems a big solar or micro turbine is tiny when you start into vehicle charging. That big 95 kw system would barely charge two cars with no other loads on it. The tesla super chargers are charging at rates of up to 300 kw.
-
They'll need 10 of them to run viable electric charging. That or a big battery coupled with still 4 or 5 micro turbines. Wonder what size units they're installing.

Gonna see a lot of places change hands with the baby boomers retiring. Some good opportunities for young folks with some ambition.

I used to work rotations in northern alberta. Found my truck battery dead a cpl times when I flew home after a 14 day shift. A cheap solar panel that plugged into the cigarette lighter in the truck solved that issue. Just plug it in and set the panel on the dash. Truck battery was always charged when i flew home.

17 x 20 big enough?? These guys advertise vehicle storage. I'd just search boat / rv storage. There's a viable solution available for sure. https://www.depotium.com/en/self-storage/quebec/quebec-city/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=storage in&utm_campaign=20877751857&gad_source=1

Yep. We use nothing but cordless on our commercial construction sites. Battery technology needs to improve again for transportation to be feasable. So does the charging network. That will be the biggest hurdle in remote areas.

Oh no the expedition won't go that far. Lol.
