  1. It’s tight, but it will fit.
  2. When we had lunch at the Rabaska today, a group of European’s were just getting off some sea doo’s. We thought to ourselves I bet that was a short ride...lol HOLY SHIT it was way too cold for that!
  3. I have to hand it to you Ike, that is a sweet itinerary. I have never run the top side of the reservoir. Crossed it by sled years ago and had a glance of Optician from a distance but that’s it. I need an extra day to hit that far up, maybe next year. The “humidity” helped keep the dust down this weekend...lol. Post some pics of your trip when you get a chance. I didn’t take too many myself this weekend. Here is what I have
  4. Your trucks are tucked in nicely
  5. 1200 mile loop, sounds pretty serious. We are also headed up that way this weekend. New windshield wiper has been installed, looks like we are going to get wet on Saturday, bring the rain gear. Sounds silly I know, but make sure your prepped with the cold gear and wind proof layers. It doesn’t take much to make the ride suck when your wet. I expect a full trip report with routes and destinations upon completion. Have a fun time. The hunters will give you dirty looks when you ride by them, but in all reality they are not supposed to be “road” hunting. If you see safety ribbon strips draped at the head of a trail it means there is someone using that area as a stand, try to avoid that area and you should be all set. Using the iQuad maps alone will not give you the best picture of what routes are available. Keep the iMotoneige app handy and you can use it to find alternate routes that way
  6. Congrats! Good looking new steed in the barn How many miles did the old one have on it and what did you Doo with it? trade or keep as a backup?
  7. The red rig does not appear to have moved Trailblazer was talking about pulling off the Pipmuacan loop. I have to imagine that your raptor would fit nicely up to the Pip. I believe the entire Pelchat trail is ATV friendly
  8. We did not get into the bunkers, I have heard about them and even found a video once, but I do not know how to access them. If you told me where the entrance is I will check it out next time. Did you head up to pipmuacan yet? I was looking forward to your ride report, including snacks....😀
  9. No & no look on iquad or fqcq the map will give you an option for 62” accommodating trails I have never had a problem with a width issue
  10. The airstrip is a good place to let the maverick stretch her legs
  11. Keep your eyes peeled for the washouts
  12. The truck at the top of 345 is still there.
  13. Took a ride last weekend. Left marineaus in Trois Rives Saturday morning, hit the repos, Lunic then on to Parent for the night. Next morning we headed back to Marineaus by way of kanawata. 486 miles for the weekend.
  14. Bonjour Jean Guy, Love the hunting stand picture. That guy has a good sense of humor...
  15. It's pretty simple...riding your sled while drunk is stupid. I live in northeast NY and refrain from riding the area. Strictly for a test ride after a repair or major change to my setup. It would take me just as long to get to tug hill as St. Raymond, so that is never going to happen. The idea that riding from one bar stool to another, no matter what the location, is acceptable, is ridiculous. I am always amazed when I see people consuming alcohol in excess, knowing that they are about get on a machine that can easily kill you with no impairment to your faculties. I would support more sobriety tests on all sled trails. Being the lead dog is dangerous enough as it is, add turbo and booze, now you have a recipe for disaster. It seems that people have a hard enough time keeping it on the right as it is, use your brain, not your balls when riding with the gang, the life you save might be yours.
  16. Looks like you brought the right amount of horses to handle piston alley
  17. Triggerhappy how did you do on your ride, or did you not go yet? When I called late last week, they said the black flies had just started in the metropolis.
  18. Get a spare tire mounted on a rim, pretty easy to have a blowout that a plug wont touch
  19. Start at the FQCQ website, download iquad. Keep in mind the groomer shows you where to go in the winter, the summer roads can be a little more difficult to navigate. The city of LaTuque has some proposed layouts that are nice. You can check the motorized sports link there. We just got back from a 2 day trip last weekend. Still quite a bit of snow on the Lepine road. I try to avoid the little trails near the towns. As previously mentioned, the trail is usually pretty rough. I stick to the roads further north.
