  10. The railroad bed is groomed between Mki and Kaz since december 12 but that's about it for now.I heard they will be packing between Lytton and Le Domaine.Val d'Or is now in charge of TQ 63 further west. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming storm later in the week.We need snow!!!! coz if we get rain the season will be delayed
  11. This will be more suitable for many users overhere Stay off the water, snowmobile group warns The GazetteDecember 21, 2009 9:13 MONTREAL - Despite recent frigid temperatures across Quebec, snowmobilers should avoid lake and river crossings, says the Association des Motoneigistes du Québec. The warning follows the death Saturday of a snowmobiler who plunged into a small lake near Godbout, about 350 kilometres north of Quebec City. The man's two companions were rescued and are recuperating in the hospital. The surface of a lake or river can appear frozen, but the thickness of the ice might not be enough to bear the weight of a snowmobile and its riders, the Quebec snowmobile organization says. Ice should be at least 15 centimetres thick before snowmobilers venture onto a lake or river. Drowning is one of the main causes of death in snowmobile accidents, the snowmobile organization noted in a news release today. Snowmobile route conditions and warnings are available on the group's web site.
  12. What is your package?? We will probably go up via chemin Lépine in January. We should avoid any plowed road this year (Lépine road) with a new trail running next to it until Lépine bridge. As-tu de la grosse ??? Donne-moé ton numéro de téléphone.Marci!!!!
  13. Just wanted to spread the news........hopefully this is not a starting trend http://www.pourvoiriebeauregard.com/en/sentiers/index.php NOTICE TO ALL SNOWMOBILISTS Given the present state of the economy, last winter's slow down and our operating cost, we came to the conclusion that it would be wiser to close for the winter 2009-2010. We are presently concentrating our efforts on the summer season beginning early May. For all information regarding our Packages and Plans (American/European) for the coming fishing season and summer quad, just visit our website. If you prefer, you are always welcome to phone us at 819-623-6212 and we will be happy to chat with you. Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you soon. Have a great Holiday! Julie and Jean-Luc
  14. As I said before on an earlier post...another lodging point will be available this winter in the LaVérendrye Park. The place is called http://outfitterlaverendrye.com/. I talked with one of the hosts (Carole) via e-mails and she did confirm me they will be open for snowmobilers this winter. They are located 30 kms east of Joncas off TQ 63 very closed to TQ 63/regional 386 junction. The package is $90.00 Cdn + taxes which include stay, dinner and breakfast. All their rooms are located in the main lodge. Do I have to say it's cheaper than Joncas where they are charging $130.00/person. I, for one, will support them this winter.
  15. Bienvenue sur le site,Welcome aboard. As soon as the Lépine road is open and groomed let us know.
  16. This will probably be a private trail( not part of the FCMQ network) which is located off TQ 83 east of Parent toward Réservoir Gouin. The bad thing is,it's a dead end.
  17. There should be another place in operation next winter. The place is called http://pourvoirielaverendrye.com/ It is located between Le Domaine and Regional 386.They are advertising on our local map for 2009-10 season. I'll have more details down the stretch......
  18. 2 places 1) http://www.chateaulogue.com/ (next to TQ 13/63) 2) http://www.aubergedraveur.qc.ca/home/index_e.php (off TQ 13/63,1 mile away from Chateau Logue)
  19. From what I have been reading over the Québec forum....FCMQ will be handing out trail passes this week to snowmobile clubs.I have no details yet with a possible tentative agreement between Québec gvt and FCMQ
  20. You are absolutely correct Bill.Fcmq is asking(for the past 5 years) an additional $10 off our ownerships. It is now up to the Minister of Transport of Québec to act.
  21. The new 2009-10 Provincial map was in the mailbox yesterday.I see some changes in my part of the Province. First of all,as we speak,Southwest of Maniwaki, there is no TQ 63 running just north of Regional322 as shown on the map. So according to the map.A portion of 322 and the whole 315 going thru Parc Papineau-Labelle has been upgraded to TQ 53. Looks like Pourvoirie du lac Beauregard is directly at TQ 53/33 junction. A portion of TQ 13,north of Ste-Anne du lac,has been rerouted to the west.Looks like we will go by Nottawissi. The old route north of Ste-Anne du lac is still there but is shown as a local trail until Scott area.TQ 13 is,then, running on the east side of Réservoir Mitchinamecus, which is new....You will have a better idea once you get yours Also...local trail starting in Rapides-des-Joachims going north toward Val d'Or has been upgraded to regional 386. Fall foliage is underway.....I love that
  22. Apparently, from what I heard,a Z1 Turbo caught on fire while refueling at the gas pump. The owner was from PEI,Canada.Apparently AC had issues with these sleds last year.
  23. I have read on CMIQ,and as rumored last winter,Tamarac Hotel in Clova is now in business and will welcome snowmobilers next season.I,for one, will stay there for sure.....
  24. FCMQ has put up trail pass prices online.... Permit prices for season 2009-2010 The price of a trail permit includes the cost of the liability insurance, defined as mandatory under article 19 of the Act respecting off-highway vehicles, as well as all applicable taxes. 235 $ for an annual trail permit purchased on or before December 9, 2009 285 $ for an annual trail permit purchased after December 9, 2009 350 $ for an annual trail permit sold on trail* 150 $ for an annual trail permit for antique snowmobiles (1990 and older) 175 $ for a 7-day trail permit 90 $ for a 3-day trail permit 400 $ for an annual trail permit for a rental snowmobile
