We left Maniwaki Saturday morning to Clova. Took 13/63 , local 228 and 225 then 322 . Trails were in top shape for the most part. No recent grooming again around Devil’s mountain. Club Fontbrune to Gatineau river crossing(ice bridge ) was in top shape as well. Western side of Gatineau river was in good shape but lots of snow upon the trail til lépine road. Stopped for lunch at the Pensive. Met the groomer 15 miles north of the Pensive. Lépine road was awesome 10/10 up to Clova.

Left Clova Sunday morning it was -34….Wicked cold. Freshly groomed from Clova. Groomer headed towards Balbuzard. Stopped at the Pensive to warm up. We did not make the left turn to Rabaska but we kept going on lépine road down to TQ 63 since there was snow on the road except the last 10 kms which was freshly plowed but not sanded fortunately . TQ 63 was in top shape til the classic.Same with 322 til Grand-Remous and TQ 13/63 down to Maniwaki was 8/10 to 10/10.

Maniwaki-Club Fontbrune 70 miles

Fontbrune to Pensive relay 55 miles

Pensive to Relay l’antre II 45 miles

Relay l’antre II to Clova 45 miles.

Relais l’antre II is opened this winter. Relais Evasion is closed. No pics. It was too cold but those who rode Lépine road know how fast this trail can be. Great weekend of riding. Great Canadian Highway!!

brutal cold early morning pics of the former school Mid Range

great report, you bet

awesome ride, of course.

thanks for the pics....... btw owner of Pensive relay told us logging will start in the coming days.Coming in from the Rabaska lodge once you get to Lépine road, you have 3-kms to get to the Pensive. It should be plowed as well up to shannon lodge fork which is about 1 km north of pensive. This weekend lépine road was plowed up to vimont road which is +- 10 kms north of Pensive but it was snow covered.

In the past year they groomed a trail on the side of the road in that area but we did not see any signs of grooming this past weekend.Past vimont road you hit the groomed trail to Clova.

Sorry for posting in french, I am trying to give first hand report on lépine road for our friend Coyote.
