An intense low pressure system from the Central United States will approach the Great Lakes Tuesday before affecting the province of Quebec Wednesday. Precipitation will begin as snow and then change to ice pellets or freezing rain, then to rain. For the moment, 10 to 20 cm of snow are expected, followed by a more or less extended period of ice pellets and freezing rain. Strong winds will also accompany the storm. There is still some uncertainty in the computer guidance regarding the areas that could be particularly hard hit. Wednesday, the morning rush hour will be particularly difficult in the Montreal area; the afternoon rush hour will be more difficult in the Québec City area.
