Thanks Iceman. I guess with rain and warmth tilsaturday I'll relax for a little bit longer! It's been raining buckets down here in the flatlands of Massachusetts for 12 hours. Add cold and we'd have 4 feet!!

I spoke with a guy in La Malbaie today and he said there was 20-24" of neige there!! I called a place in Sacre-Couer and was told the same thing, 2' of snow!! She said within 24 hours they would be connected to Mont Valins and TQ3 north was next!! Anybody know anything about this? I wouldn't mind trailering to the casino Sunday!

One of my favorite places in QC!!! I've stayed In a room overlooking thepoolbefore and there canb be some excellent views poolside!!😍👀. A very nice place that is 110% snowmobile friendly. Great food and bar too!!

A few pics

As usual I had questions about our trip and you guys had all the answered!! This is the most dedicated snowmobile site out there!! I wanna thank you all!! We left Derby Vt 1 pm last Sunday and rode to Shawinigan. Crossed the river at Trois rivieres calling ramp truck from bar 55. Monday rode up 355 to 83 and spent night at Universal in Alma. Tuesday, day 3 to Chibougamau via north of LSJ!! Wednesday rode to Balbuzard Sauvage with the advice of iceman. Great place!! Thursday headed to St Zenon and La Cabanon. Friday, day 6 back to Derby VT taking the ferry to Sorel and headed to border crossing at Bedford Qc/Sheldon Vt. We rode the US side back to Derby. Did 2000 miles in 5 1/2 days and had a great trip!! Only issue was 1 idler wheel on my sled was lost somewhere before Chibougamau. Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions, replies and quick responses!!

We took 55 for quite a while and it was unbelievable! Sunday afternoon and it was fresh groomed!! All of this trip was groomed to perfection except where 355 ended and 83 began. All the way to Alma(50 miles) was terrible!! Next morning we went north at the lake and everything was fresh groomed all the way to Chibougamau!

Left Derby VT sunday 1pm got to Shawinigan at 9. Day 2 shawinigan to Alma. Day 3 Alma to Chibougamau. Day 4 Chibougamau to Balbuzard like you suggested!! Great place!! Day 5 Balbuzard to La Cabanon St. Zenon. Today, day 6 St Zenon to Derby. Unreal trip!! 2000 miles in 5.5 days!!

It was cool meeting you yesterday in Senneterre!! We've seen your stickers EVERYWHERE!!! Kanawata, Repos, Lac Edouard, and on and on!! Now there will be 1 on my truck!! Keep up the good work and thanks for the info!

Looking to head west thru senetierre to LA domains!! What do you think?? We've done rdl to Vt in 10 he's. 400+ miles! No lace panties here!!

Last year I "stole" our trip idea from a post in the Cote Nord section that was posted by markusvt!! Up tq3 across Saguenay to Baie Comeau then ferry to Matane and south to RDL. We went opposite way around and did some different overnight stops but basically took his great trip and made it work for us!! We are leaving Derby Vt on sleds Sunday and are not sure where to go on this trip!!! We were thinking Chibougamau and back as I've never been there!! Not sure tho. Been around the Gaspe a time or two but never thru the middle so that's a possibility. Idk?? What do you guys have for suggestions??There's just 2 of us and we aren't afraid to ride long and hard (derby to RDL,464 miles in 11 hrs last year! Twice!!) but don't need 400 mile rides everyday! Leave Sunday and back in Vt Friday-Sunday!! Thanks in advance, Jim

They look like the piles you can see from the Balmoral in Thetford Mines. We have made a quick stop there a time or two!! Look close, that lil dot is one of us climbing it!

No tickets Eddie!! 2 of those guys are cops and the other a Coast Guard officer. I don't think that sled will be back to Vermont tho. He's gonna leave it at his camp in Presque Isle. After seeing how Vt trails go thru towns and close to homes he understood!! Sounds like your wallet took a big hit at the ballet!!! Never a bad trip just another story to reflect on and laugh!! 2 of us are headed out of Derby next Sunday headed to Chibougamau! Should be an adventure!
