  1. Couldn't you get one from Napa? Thats what I did on my 1000 SDI, it was the low pressure pump.
  2. Have a great time guys! Hopefully Eddie remembered all his gear this time! I thought there must be some kind of Canadian holiday this week, it took us an hour and a half to cross the border into the states last Sunday, never seen it that bad!
  3. I don't think two many dealers would with a cracked tunnel. My dealer wants my 12' 1200 GSX with 6500 miles as soon as possible!
  4. We also stopped there and talked to melanie, once she explained the reasoning to taking off your boots I don't blame them, we had to take them off at Trout lake Lodge also. Really not that big of a deal. $150 a night with a 6 course dinner and breakfast and a cocktail is a little steep, but I 've paid close to that in not nearly as nice of surroundings. Plus the log cabins are real nice and where just renovated.
  5. Back in shawinigan, safe and sound, left Windigo took the shortcut across the resy, found the way off but there's more then one goat path on the other side. Ended up at another house and luckily there where speeders there and told us to follow there tracks on another lake to get to 73, actually quicker. 73 down to La tuqe for early lunch. Then holy crap, they must have waved the green flag in shawinigan . We must have passed 75 sleds in a half hour period coming at you like bullets then only a handful the rest of the way. Trails in great shape the whole way despite the traffic. 1630 miles for the week. First of all I want to congratulate my newbie, his wife called me to ask if I could take him to Quebec for a Christmas present. I've known him for 48 of my 50 years. He's ridden before but a 1600 mile ride I wasn't sure about. He was a trooper and had a trip of a lifetime . Met some great people on the way , Sleddog it was pleAsure to meet you and your crew, Kel, I hope your trip was as good as ours. Hoping for one more trip this year in March. 3100 miles for the season so far. Out for now I'm pooped!!
  6. This plac is soon as u come out of the trail on your right befor getting fuel
  7. Well another great day, after a night at the Tamarack with Sleddog and crew we parted and headed to Windigo. 83 east was sweet with about 4" of fresh snow, and still snowing. Lunch at Wemotaci, only choice on our route. Food was great, not the greatest atmosphere. On to Windigo, burn section tough to tell where your going snowing hard, slow going. No sign for Windigo going East, end up at relais 22. Fuel up backtrack , small sign you can see headed West arrived at 4 pm . A good 6-8" the further ESt we went. Across the resavoir tomorrow to 73 and back to trucks in Shawinigan tomorrow. There is a ton of snow up here so anyone with plans to come up , don't worry about the warmup, there's plenty of snow ! Now the attempt to post pics! The sled off trail is the newbie Only 3 times in close to 1500 miles, I give him credit, I don't think he new what he was in for.
  8. Temps where in the upper 20s snowed off and on all day. About 2" in Clova
  9. Great day trails mint all the way to Balbuzard, after that whooped to Clova. Lunch At lac fallion, hey Tom I thought you said cute bartender, she looked like Keith Richards with boobs! Stoped at Balbuzard, yep, boots off put on a pair of crocks. Now the bartender there was worth takin the boots off. 224 for the day. Looks like windigo for tomorrow.
  10. We are off to Clova, if anyone knows the number for the Tamarack let me know and I'll check at lunch there not on the map
  11. Nice trail report trailblazer, we had a nice run up to matagami from Amos, freshly groomed lunch then down to LSQ. Ran into another QR here, sleddog. Tough decision from here back home through Chibougamau or back through 83 through Clova. We shall see
  12. It sucks that western spur is closed, looks like lunch in matagami then Lebel sur quevellon for the night
  13. There's no replacement for Phil, we miss ya buddy. Nothing like a newbie though some funny stuff
  14. Welcome to Abitibi! Trails mint passed at least 4 groomers today. In Amos tonight, off to Matagami tomorrow.
  15. So John when do you sleep? Lol! Holy crap, I actually posted apic. That's are newbie on the rental, so far only had to dig him out once!
  16. Well today was good and horrible! Left rabAska , nice all the way to the Classic. The 63 from there to Domain is terrible!!!! We expected the worst and hoped the groomer made a pass. It's parked at the classic, they said there waiting for it to get colder! That could be next winter! From domain we passed the groomer by la verande we knew we where catching up to it. After that good and bad to lake trout. 240 for the day. Off to Amos tomorrow . Met another quebecrider at the Classic goes by the name Kel, they where on there way to Val Dor.
  17. We are at rabAska , hopefully the groomers will be out on the 63 Don't know how much more of a beating I can take
  18. 315 miles for a day and a half maybe 75 groomed. Not a happy camper! But, there's always tomorrow !
  19. There must be 100 sleds in the corral. They wait until everyone is running then wave the green flag, GO! LOL!
  20. That doesn't sound encouraging, we will be through there tomorrow . Hope the groomers fix it, we are at Le cabannon. Trails rough the whole way from shawinigan till we passed a groomer 10 miles from cabanon . Never been to cabanon before, don't know what people see in this place except for large crowds! Can't wait to leave this area!
