  1. Absolutely, I wanted to buy and there was no way Mike was going to allow that to happen Great pics SnowCrazed!!!! Now I see what you were talking about!!!
  2. All English signage in the Province? I saw this at FS and I'm thinking it was Trail 8 in the UP, but I could be wrong.
  3. Hey Mike, Patt and I really enjoyed meeting you Thursday evening, and we thank you for the drink! Well we got home this evening and I will tell you that the ride from RDL to the Ontario border was a white knuckler with lot's of blowing snow and more wrecks than I can count. Then today was more snow and wrecks for the 200 miles between Cobourg, Ontario and Strathroy, Ontario Looks like you have some nice low 20 temps tomorrow and a couple of inches of snow!
  4. Hey Jean, we ran TQ 5 from St. Damase to Amqui yesterday and we doubled back today on out way to RDL, the scenery is simply beautiful and the ride was superb!!
  5. Now those are some drifts, it truly takes an expert running the Ski Dozier to take care of that!! :BC: Sunshine and a light breeze on the St. Lawrence this morning
  6. Thanks for the info Jean, I truly appreciate the info! It's good to know that we have two good options, now I just have to pick a direction
  7. Hey Groomer, we decided to stay in Matane today and just ride local without saddlebags so we went east to St. Adelme and it was drifted pretty deep in spots as seen in my pics, some guys with long tracks got stuck. I called Mont St. Pierre and they got 1.5 to 2 feet of snow and lot's of wind so I'm thinking going east is not a good option for me and the wife tomorrow. How do you think the ride will be tomorrow from Matane to Amqui and then south or west? Thanks, Vince
  8. Hey Mike look what I see going up Hwy 20 today. And then I meet the guys at the Universel, and they cleaned up the art work
  9. Two friends just looped the Gaspe and no worries, this pic was taken last Friday the 6th. My wife and I will be starting our ride this Saturday out of RDL, I'll be on an Orange ZR 8000 and she will be on a black and green ZR 6000 LXR, maybe we will see each to each other out there
  10. I like the boots How do find the durability of them to be with today's cheese grater running boards? I still wear the cotton shorts as they are the most comfortable, but just this year I found a synthetic t-shirt at Cabela's that is made by Under Armour that is softer and more comfortable than any cotton T that I own.
  11. If you're are there we will have to have a cold one for sure
  12. Synthetic base layers that are weight appropriate for the temps, then my fleece pants and Klim uninsulated pants over that, on top the base layer, a synthetic shirt, Tek Vest and an Arctic Cat Gore Tex shell that I will put the insulated sleeves into for the subzero days. Those leather suits were not as warm as the modern day layering, we were just younger
  13. Hello Mike, the wife and I will be at the Universal sometime Friday afternoon if all goes according to plan.
  14. Hello Mike, I should be in RDL on the 13th or 14th and it would be great to meet you Was it just a rain or a rinse? That's what I'm talking about! Nice write up and pics! We get lake effect snow here near the Great Lakes, I guess it;s ocean effect snow in the Gaspe and on a larger scale than the lakes. Merci beaucoup for the advice monsieur LOL Thanks for the advice guys, this will be my wife's first time in QC. We are really looking forward to it and I think she is going to be really surprised by the scenery,
  15. Hello all, next month my wife and I are planning to loop the Gaspe (her first time in QC) with our starting point being RDL, my plan is to ride the perimeter and it looks like it's about 1200 miles? Any thought or suggestions for the trip would be appreciated. I have rode quite a bit in QC since 1998 all on the north side of the St. Lawrence, and my limited French wasn't an issue, would it be fair to assume that my limited French will work in the Gaspe? Thanks, Vince
