  1. Great pictures. Makes me miss being up there to ride even more. I was up in Quebec riding two weeks ago and can only dream about riding there now.
  2. Happy Birthday Linda! 50 is the new 30. Just turned 51 myself a few months ago.
  3. I know predicting future weather conditions and trail conditions is nearly impossible...but I am considering planning a late season trip back up to Lanaudiere region. I am thinking around end of February or 1st week of March. Generally do snowmobile conditions hold up well to those dates? Again I am not looking for any absolute guarantees which nobody can give, just some advice on whether the trails hold up well around that time of winter. I was just up to Lanaudiere last week of Jan and first week of Feb and riding was great. Got a season permit so want to ride one more time. Also do the clubs continue to groom as often as they have been or do they back off on grooming trails as the season winds down?
  4. I agree. The lake wasn't that bad...just seemed so compared to the groomed flat trails. I really miss riding in St Donat and I have only been back in the states since Saturday.
  5. Just got back from a great week of riding in Saint Donat area. Trails were groomed to a 10 just about every day. 33 was fantastic around lake.....up to Mountain Noire.....and out to Lac Crouche. Not much sled traffic during the week....which is always good. Great job to the groomers in this area for doing a nice job with the trails. My question is why do they not groom lake Archambalt? My guess is the weight of groomer too risky? Perhaps a smaller groomer would do. Lake was pretty rough on way to Mountain Noire.
  6. This topic may not exactly relate to trail conditions but......does anyone know the location (road) where the bar that has dancers is at that is on the snowmobile trail. I have passed it several times but never had opportunity to stop in. Are they open during the week?
  7. The trails in Lanaudiere are great. New snow recently has really made them great! My brother and I have been up here since Saturday and I would describe conditions as best in a long time. I left the states last week concerned that the rain ruined them....but I was wrong. Excellent riding. Rode to real Masse today and Le Glaciere yesterday. Both nice riding.
  8. according to the weather site....wind chill is supposed to be 38 below zero tonight.! At least the snow wont melt!
  9. Fantastic report and photos ! You are awesome. Best trail reports around. We are on our way up this weekend. Looks like trails shaped up nicely...especially north. We will probably ride from Cabanon north. Have never seen the Taureau lake dam. I cant wait! Thanks again for the great pics. Forcast looks coooold this week!
  10. Holy Crap that's cold. Good thing staying at Coupee! Wind Chill is supposed to be minus 38 tonight.
  11. Me too! I raise my mug in salute to you Fuzzy
  12. Fuzzy...do you think the trails will still be good in two weeks?
  13. Hey Fuzzy, what part of Pa are you from?
  14. Not too bad looking. I am sure the groomers will shape the trails back up after the weekend riding. Maybe a bit more snow will fall before we come up next weekend. Better than I thought it would look. A little loose stuff for lube. Thanks for the pics!
  15. Timbo....You say in open trail areas there is still good snow amounts....2 feet? Good to know to get occasional track lubrication.
  16. Thanks again and look forward to Monday pictures.
  17. Alain...you said you started your 330 miler from home. Where is home for you? I believe you said it is south area of Lanaudiere. Just curious how the riding is in southern areas. From my experiences areas like Joliette do worse with rain than areas farther north. Hopefully Donat is as good as areas you have reported on. I am sure the roads in town will be thin....but they always are and it is only a short distance before on trail again.
  18. Alain....Thanks so much for the honest report. Our sleds are not studded...but we will just take it slow into turns. I may have a new set of carbides put on the sleds before we head up. I am so glad to hear that trails are rideable and sounds like a click or two above fair. There is loose coverage on ice base in most places? Looking forward to some trail picks. You are awesome to keep us updated. Looks like I have no reason to cancel plans to come up in a week. Thanks again!
  19. Timbo....Thanks for the report. How long are you staying at Montagne Coupee? What trails did you run to Glaciere? 63? Did you run past Bazinete? So it sounds like trails are more than rideable. No reason for me to cancel trip up next Saturday in your opinion?
  20. Does anyone have any trail pictures to post since the rain? Looking for some visuals on trails before deciding what to do with future planned trip. If anyone has been riding the Lanaudiere area since last Saturday and can give me an update, I'd appreciate it.
  21. Ok Thanks. Where is the delta?
  22. Can anyone post updated trail photos to let others see first hand how much snow is left and how trails look. Anything would be appreciated. I know Alain I believe has done so in the past. They are really encouraging and helpful to those planning a trip.
  23. Thanks...Update me on trails as you feel you can. Like I said....my brother and I will be starting out from St Donat next Saturday/Sunday and will probably ride to Coin Lavigne. I am seeing where St Come area not so good? Will also be staying at Bazinet before we head home and hope to ride out to Real Masse's for a good burger!
