  1. I am intersted in feedback regarding GPS units for trail riding. Will use both US and Canada but I remember last time I was in Quebec it was very long distances between intersections and its nice to know what trail your on every now and then just to make sure your going in the right direction or to know approximately where you are at. I don't need turn by turn directions, just need to know where I am in relation to trail or intersection. Thanks in advance for all your input!
  2. We are heading up there next week as well. 4 days of nothing but riding... Thanks for the great reports!
  3. My wife did this as well for my daughter before we went on a cruise. We live in VA and drove to Washington DC, waited in a room full of stinky people for an hour or two and was good to go... Not sure what was worse, parking in DC or the stinky people...
  4. After reviewing the Sena models they appear to be a step ahead of the game in terms of technology, likability and apps to assist with setup. The collect brand seems to have fallen behind while still charging more and after reading the reviews, their 2 mile claim is not accurate and the range is likely similar to the 1.2 miles that Sena claims. I am hoping the less expensive Sena 20s will be just what we are looking for! http://www.buysena.com/powersports/20s/20s-01d.html
  5. Thank you all for the info. I think its worth the safety of being able to warn others in the group of potential hazards. I think I will buy a pair today!
  6. Im interested in getting feedback on helmet communicators. Im looking at the Collett brand and they have two styles now, bluetooth and non-bluetooth models. http://collettcommunicator.com Do these really work well up to 2 miles as they say? Will battery last all day? Any negative? heavy? too big? Im looking at buying a set for me and my father so we can stay in touch. This way when he is behind me and needs a rest or I get too far out in front he can flag me down. Will also save me from looking behind me so much to make sure he is ok. Or if I miss a turn and he sees it he can also flag me down quickly.
  7. looks like you are having a great time! enjoy your pictures and posts!
  8. Hats off to your wife for taking such great pictures while riding!! Always enjoy reading and re-reading and re-reading your reports!! We will be up in a week to stay at the Real Masse for 3-4 days, looking forward to seeing more of your reports!
  9. Great pictures and report! Best Ive ever read and I say this every time you post. Do you have your go pro set to time delay pic settings so it takes a picture at timed intervals? Or are these pics taken from a video? Trails are setting up nice up there and more snow to come will bring things to 100%
  10. I hit a deer on my sled once... Deer did not fair well but I may it out ok to ride on.
