  1. Yes I saw him there. Should have gone up and said hi. It was a busy show. Picked up some things there. Belinda couldn't pass up more clothing and I picked up some Linq items (the 14 liter stackable gas caddy and the bag to go on top of it). Should give me more peace of mind when doing a few longer legs.
  2. And Belinda and I might be able to share a bed, so that can make it 20 people. ;)
  3. I am in. Either weekend for me. I can understand the 14th issue for some. So count me in. I would be game for a loop leaving the 16th, coming back Thursday 21st and then doing day trips out of Drakkar with everyone 22,23,24. :) Whatever works the best for others. I haven't had any of Reggies welcome back drinks in a while.
  4. I'm sure the guy with the motorcycle in the parking lot isn't ready for it! lol
  5. Come on isn't your crystal ball working?! mine is and it will be $7.82 more USD. ;)
  6. Not that I want you to jump off that ledge you are on (well....), but it will actually be more like a $7.90 increase (USD). Either jump or eat a few less jars of that marmalade. lol Those damn Canadians! They keep trying to take our American money! First they make the trails so damn sweet, then they treat you so damn nice, and then they want you to come back.... How is one able to resist the temptation? I can't. I know I don't mind spending my money there. Some of the best money spent in my opinion... :)
  7. Is it you or the sled that smells so bad you need to have the green tree air freshener hanging in order to work on it... lol
  8. No, but I wish I was. I am almost always up there for this weekend, but we had a big gathering at my home lake this weekend. Weather wasn't that great for it, and by the looks of the weather in your picture I should have gone up there! Any good stories from the weekend? There usually are a few. lol
  9. Yes we plan to be. Kingston is my favorite run. We love that city. In fact we took a run to Kingston from Clayton over the weekend to show my passengers who had never been.
  10. I was there and ran in the poker run. It was a charity for the hospital and for make a wish. We gave rides to some of the kids and also presented one of the kids with his wish it was a new camper for him and his family. Huge turn out. Great time and perfect weather. I think 115 boats was the final count.
  11. Hey Don, Belinda and I are coming up Friday morning and I was wondering if you think the trails will hold up to the warmth of Thursday and Friday? I know the parking lots and roads will be dry, but with the cold you have been having I'm assuming plenty of snow for the groomers to work with and the rivers are all still good. She needs a little get away weekend after these past few weeks so it would be good to end on a good note. Thanks.
  12. It was nice to meet you Playhard at Drakkar. I'm glad your trip went well. You definitely know how to have fun! Would be fun to run with you guys.
  13. Yes. Just call your bank/credit union and tell them you will be going to Canada from x-day to x-day. they note it on your card acct. and then use it. They give you the current rate at the time of withdraw and some charge a little fee and some don't. either way it is easy and fast. If you can, use a bank ATM as opposed to like a gas station ATM. Those sometimes have a very low limit you can take ($100). And 8 different people with me have used their ATM at the same bank in Shawingan and none have been denied or any issues.
  14. We just role in to town (Shawinigan) and pull into a bank. I use the ATM to get the best rate but others with me have exchanged US cash for a small fee. 3 extra minutes and on to the hotel.
  15. Drakkar - Places close by to drive to or Reggie will call and order from any place and have them deliver. Depends on what you are looking for.
  16. I just got that article in my email and while reading it I was wondering if it was someone on here. That is great she still gets out on the trails. Hopefully for many more too.
  17. Great ride today. Belinda and I Left Drakkar at 9am got to latuque and fueled up sled and body at noon. The river was better than expected. Scratchers were your friend though as the snow was hard. 360 was good. Some stutter bumps. 355 had some chop through the pipeline until the train tressel then it was perfect to 73 and into latuque. We left lunch in latuque at 1 and pulled into Drakkar at 5 with 240 miles for the day. 73 all the way down to 353 was incredible. Perfect. 353/23 was choppy. Not bad but not great. 302 was great to 351. 351 was a little choppy but still fast. Took it to 3 which got beat up some and then rolled into Drakkar. Shortly after Playhard rolls in with his crew. Nice group here this evening.
  18. Haven't really run against them hard yet but I would say yes.
  19. You won't find a nicer guy. He takes great care of you here. You will love staying here.
  20. Just got back to Drakkar and had two different shots with Reggie. Lol. Trails were unbelievable! 23, 351, 302, 3, it didn't matter where you went you couldn't find a bump if you wanted. It was perfect. A little solid in the morning but scratchers took care of that. As the day went on the trails even got better. Bigger group than usual but good riders and showed them around. Plus they were cat riders so it was ok. Lol. Great lunch and heading to get a steak now!
