  1. you too PlayHard !!! One of my favorite Canadian dates 211219 may we all have a safe and tremendous snowmobiling season
  2. Your right !!! i thought about that a long time back. Was probably just too tired and lazy in a motel room and just jumped on. Towing is the king of photo ride reports in Quebec and always will be. I’m sure my dear friend was not offended. I will start a new post the night of Friday the 27th detailing another Christmas week smack down on the best of what Quebec has to offer.
  3. might be a little crass but could one of the mods setup an online poll ? All just in good fun and taste. Sorta like the "Miss America Pageant" but we'll call it "Miss North America" Pikogan or Le Chapelle ?
  4. X3 you guys give “hardcore” a whole new dimension and CONGRATS on another successful mission
  5. O.K.......probably not 200 but I'll take the "everything's always seems bigger in Quebec" route.....LOL
  6. she had teeth that were straighter and whiter than Donny Osmunds too !!! She might possibly be the best looking indian woman I have ever seen. BTW...I see they groomed that trail again from Matagami down to St Dominique again. They must have quotas to make or something because there is NO WORDLY way that trail needed groomed again. I beat her ......but not THAT bad. And I know there is little to no traffic up there. Also forgot to mention that my first day in to Matagami about 3 miles outside of town I saw something I have only got a glimpse of one other time in Quebec. Crested a sweeping down hill corner and what is there in front of me no more than 100 ft away (broadside no less) in the trail but a GIANT wolf. Had to have been 200+ lbs. He took one look at the situation, made two strides and lounged into the thick bush. Times like this I wish I wore a GoPro on my helmet or machine.
  7. As of Sunday morning this was the only thing that was left of the cafeteria. The cabins on the hill directly across from the gas station were tore down about 3 years ago. We stayed in them a few times over the years. We stayed in the “two story bunk house” across from the cafeteria last year and left our rig there for a week.. The bottom floor were for the workers and the top was open to whomever else. I’m gonna miss that place. Had a lot of meals and “warm ups” in that cafeteria over the years. Also left the trucks there a half dozen times and NEVER had an issue.
  8. I was through Le Domaine on Sunday and the only thing “tore down” is the cafeteria bldg. and they are not even through with that. The gas station will be staying open and the bunk house and other buildings are still housing workers but not available to snowmobilers anymore unfortunately:( TONS of snow around there right now (especially since Saturday’s storm) and absolutely ZERO activity or tracks s
  9. the relais has not changed one bit except for a nice added addition. They now have two LED light bulbs in there run on a timer switch by the door. They have a little solar panel on the side and obviuosly have some batteries tucked in there somewhere. It was a nice as I was in there several times after daylight.
  10. MiOn my way home At the Classic in Lytton having a great (after noon) breakfast Valdor looks to have had about 6-8" last night and closer to a foot around LeDomaine. No sled tracks anywhere up by the domaine where it crosses the 117 a couple tims or here at the Classic where it comes in the parking lot and then crosses the road up the hill. I had a memorable trip that will be hard to beat if I live to be 100 Mission was accomplished with 502.7 on the new machine Thanks for following along and hope to see and meet you on the trails. Or....at the Relais, hotel, gas station, clubhouse, camp, bar, pourvoirie....LOL
  11. Once again...Live pic from around the corner from Relais 100 yards away facing Matagami You can see my tracks from yesterday
  12. Back at the Matagami Relais (seen ALOT of it in the last 24 hours Here is a Live pic (11:10 a.m.) my new buddy's camp is exactly 8.8 miles south of this Relais and it's 36 miles to Matagami so....45 miles from camp to town. They are going out to try and track that moose down while I'm out blistering away. I sure hope the get it. He said we'll have "moose back straps" for dinner tonight if they do. Still have not seen one single sled . Weather is PERFECT and the trails...just UNREAL. Wish my buds were here to see it. I'll give an extra little pinch coming out of the corners for all fellow QR.com members today. Just remember to by me a beer at the clubhouse next time you see me...LOL BTW...this photo and report all done at the Relais on my cheap 22bucks (American) a month Canadian trac phone. Service works great from this location.
  13. Staying with my friend Kenny at his uncles camp which is south of the Matagami clubhouse about 15miles. It s only 200 yards or so from the main trail. No services whatsoever there so my posting will be limited from now. You can NOT get north of St Day Monique-de-rosaire because the river is not safe to cross yet. BUT.......it’s doublewide fresh groomed on the other side for approx. 100 miles all the way to Matagamii with NO tracks or traffic of ANYKIND. In my tenure of life’s snowmobileing I have finally reached (what I consider) the Pinnacle of what it’s “all about” Glad I lived to see it. kenny, his 17 yr old son and his unable are going to shoot a moose’s in the bush tomorrow near his camp while I go back and forth blowing my brains out. We are going to be partying hard at the camp tonight for sure. until I can post again..........
  14. This is where I’m at have seen no one and not one other track on all fresh groomed double wide
  15. Today I’m embarking on one of the most crazy stunts I think I have ever pulled in all my years up here stay tuned later tonight or tomorrow as I will mostly be way off the grid i have a feeling it’s going to be an EPIC day.........
  16. Spent some time with Kenny at the hockey rink in Amos watching his kid play hockey then went back to his house in Pikogan which turned into a late night
  17. And it won’t STOP snowing here...LOL sled this morning at hotel in Pikogan
  18. Andy,, all the locals say they have NEVER seen this much this early. If it turns out to be an even normal snowfall season there is gonna be 10 ft in the Abitibi by March
  19. Here’s one last pic of me and “Julie” the director at the Rodeway Inn in Pikogan im thinking of moving here p.s. She’s 26
  20. In Pikogan again for the night and my buddy Kenny is going to come pick me up at the hotel and we’re dropping his kid off at hockey practice at an arena in Amos. That ought to be cool to see. as I’m trying to head to Barrute via Amos this morning I come to the river. I can see a couple tracks made it but since the Skidoo told me yesterday that a guy and his wife went down last week (sled is still at the bottom of the river but they are ok) I decided to take the bridge. It wasn’t bad at all and had ample coverage on the small shoulder.
  21. Doors are opened to let her cool off as she just got the snot knocked out of her for 30 minutes straight sorta like the “unwanted step child” kinda knocking
