  1. Closed Shipshaw to St Ambroise from Caribou Conscrits Please take note that the portion of the #367 between St Ambroise and Shipshaw is closed and could be closed indefinitely. Work was underway to open this portion of the trail, but some property owners are asking for excessively high right-of-way fees, even though they are already receiving compensation from Ville de Saguenay. Negotiations with these owners led nowhere, and reasonable compensation was offered but refused. Rights of way are fragile and increasingly difficult to negotiate. The club is working to find a solution, but unfortunately for the time being the trail will remain closed.
  2. 15 km of trail from barrage on 360 they were still cutting wood using sled trail. They were supposesd to be finishing yesterday the 16 January. I have heard nothing else yet. I would think as soon as they finish they will open that quickly. The 355 is also not open according to club in La Tuque. The forresters are working there too between La Tuque and the train bridge. They are making a trail but is not ready. Seems they may be working there all winter. Not sure.

Early season conditions. Be careful, the groomers will be on the trails during the day to finish the work. Have a great season! 6. First crossing of our resurfacers on the footbridges of the Romaine river. Project paid for by Hydro Quebec because the river no longer freezes following the Romaine 1, 2, 3 and 4 dams. This for the continuity of the TQ3 in the area of the club Le Blizzard of Havre Saint Pierre

Parent to Wemo usually a fast section wemo to relais 22 more twisty and opens up closer to relais 22 after passing windigo relais 22 to La Tuque same thing . Some fast sections some twists la tuque to st raymond 73 fast run relatively speeking to Riviere Pierre. Riviere Pierre a St Raymond Railbed. all depends on traffic and trail conditions.

Fortunately we managed to get it out with our other resurfacer. The work continues tomorrow.
  13. Today’s update. “Hello, update this January 16, the trails remain closed for another few hours, volunteers are finishing the signage. Most of the trails are surfaced, including the one from Lac Bouchette to Lac Edouard, which will be done tomorrow in daylight, so extreme caution! Note that as long as the trails remain closed, the Club Passe Partout is not responsible for any accidents.”
  14. From Chapais Club Work continues today on the 93 between Chapais and Desmaraisville, with beaver dams overflowing and holes appearing in the path. A lot of snow, yes, which is helping to fill the holes but is slowing us down because it fell all at once. The trail should be open on Friday.

  19. Unreal it seems. But true. taken from news story may 2023 “At first, the snowmobile club denied the stump was on their trail, and also argued the plaintiff had accepted the risks inherent in a sport like snowmobiling. But the judge in the case ruled the evidence clearly showed the stump was on the trail and that it presented a hazard the club could have easily dealt with. In fact, the day after the accident, one of the police investigating the scene ordered the club to remove it – which it did immediately. NOT INHERENTLY RISKY “It was not an inherent risk of the sport of snowmobiling that caused (the) accident,” the judge wrote. “Rather, it was a tree stump that should not have been where it was because of the negligence of the club. It is useful to recall that (the plaintiff) was travelling on a well-maintained, managed trail … not in the middle of the forest, nor on some makeshift or homemade trail.” The plaintiff and six of his family members collectively sued for more than $8.4 million. Most of the claim is related to the fact he has substantial long-term physical damage and will require care for the rest of his life. For example, he often chokes when he eats, has largely lost the use of his right arm and had to learn to write with his left. He gets tired quickly, must take frequent naps, often falls, has trouble speaking, has continuous pain in his shoulders and hips, has lost many long-term memories and has very poor short-term memory. However, the judge in the case ruled the claim for 24-hour attendant care was not supported by the medical documentation, greatly reducing the value of the damage claim. In the end, the victim received $3.288 million, while his wife and family received a total of $474,000. “
  20. Winning Winnner machine filled ditch to cross 157 packed trail toward Gabelle. no drag first run through.
  21. We never had these problems before the app. Just saying. i miss the good old days. This maybe some “diplomatic immunity” is needed to protect the volunteers.
  22. Very surprised it has taken this long for this to be implemented here in Quebec. It makes sense. I would rather they take the time and verify all is good. sad that they need to worry about being sued. Welcome to 2024.
