  1. Is this on the Province map or Abitibi map? I am not seeing it on the province map i have received for this year.
  2. Exactly, great riding will come. Patience. Not worth it at all just yet. Lots of surprises under that not so deep snow.
  3. these guys rode 105km today. October 29.
  4. I saw it too Mark you beat me to the post. It was a picture from Relais Chapelle Facebook page.

  6. Not a problem for me, but I thought was pretty funny.
  7. Oh My how times have changed. Great pics thanks for sharing.
  8. Bring it on! Let's Ride.I remember it well Trailblazer. Yes sir Tom that was one for the record books for sure.
  9. For sure each night in Quebec this winter will be a 100% chance of darkness I know that for sure. Beyond that time will tell. I sure hope this winter is like the winter of 07-08 when I got my last new sled. Snow just would not stop that season.
  10. Yes XTX, let them Laugh all they want. I KNOW when I leave the house My Yamaha will be bringing me back. Super dependable and strong. For groomed Quebec trails its just what the doctor ordered. My 08 was still running like a Champ and ready for more with 58k Km. I threw a Stud thru the front heat exhanger last ride of the season out in Ville Marie. (Thanks to Playhard for saving the week loaning me a sweet Vector as a backup), (my fault for not changing track sooner). Rather then put the money for a track and fix the heat exchanger I knew it was time to retire her. She was a fine machine. Rode Playhards XTX and for sure he had to pry me back off it. Power steering is sweet. Engine is unreal.
  11. Thanks all! So excited for the snow to fly. Just FYI my last new sled was in 08 and if this winter turns out like that one we will all be very pleased.
  12. They say good things come in small packages.......... GREAT THINGS however come in Big White boxes with YAMAHA written on them. Went down this morning to help birth my new baby. Proud to say all went excellent and she is very healthy.
  13. Right on Main St. Destroyed 12 businesses. Happened yesterday afternoon. Info and pics here. http://zone911.fm93.com/actualites/incendies/item/17354-incendie-majeur-à-st-donat-une-dizaine-de-commerces-détruits
  14. Hi Groomer, I know this one I will see if anyone else does.
  15. Around 200 km or so to Val d'or from there.
  16. Not sure what map you are looking some numbers have been changed, no more 347 its a local but no problem there and 318 is now 23 there. Try this to plan your routes its pretty close for mileage. http://viaexplora.com/snowmobile/index.html The way i see it the day to La Tuque from Mattawin and the back to Sacacomie is about 195-200 miles. Give or take.
  17. I am not sure what you are seeing as a "dotted line" traveling down the river. I think you are seeing the railroad tracks marked there along the river maybe. Never heard of anyone using the River from Wemontaci, pretty sure its always open there and running. Not an option. Windigo People do use the reservoir there to ride on but I have no Knowledge nor have heard of any way from there by "river" to Kanawata. Probably for sure off trail there are many ways shorter to Kanawata not happening with a 2 up and not without someone who knows where they are going, I'm not sure where you are starting from. For a weekend trip and if it must be to Kanawata then start at Rivere Mattawin. Take 360 to 345 to Lac Du Repos. (where on a Saturday in February it will be Jammed with lots of sleds.) Get Gas there eat if you need to and want to probably wait a while depending on your arrival time. Then leave there and take the 345 north to Kanawata. For many years now just a couple of miles from Lac Du Repos Relais you will come to a Road and now the 345 runs alongside this road and crosses it back and forth. Now if there is enough snow on the sides of the road, which usually there is and If its not plowed to nothing and sanded for Logging. Which you will know cause if they are using it it will be sanded real good. You can run the road all the way up and you will see the Driveway to Kanawata on your right. Go on in the Driveway and you are there. Definately shorter then going thru La Tuque. We call the Road after Lac Repos the Kanawata Express for a reason. Good Luck. Anything else just ask.
  18. Hearing it WILL re-open for the upcoming season. Good news.
  19. I hear you Timbo, so true. For sure it will not be something settled easy or quickly. Gonna be a very slim chance for it getting open ever again i think. Sadly.
  20. Here you go just need to use google translate. Maybe somebody better with this interweb can post it with google translate. http://www.cihofm.com/nouvelles/On-travaille-sur-le-retour-de-la-motoneige-aux-Hautes-Gorges-2013-09-19-05-00
