    TQ 3

Thanks Groomer Also saw something about the area and trail from the gas station going to Roger's cabin. I think it is two different issues. Tough to read the French for me on the threads.

    TQ 3

Hearing about a problem near St Catherine I think it is. On TQ 3 east of Quebec city there is a problem with right of way. Is club Jaques Cartier I think. Groomer can you confirm anything? Hearing something about 369 and Tq 3 A lawyer bought some land on a mountain and is blocking access for the TQ 3.
  3. We know that. The moon for sure. Just not as cold, well not the last trip anyway. How goes it brother? Leaves are turning here. Sure hoping for a real cold winter not half cold like last year. Bring the -40c I am waiting. Of course it needs to warm up to snow that is OK. Then freeze it all nice please, then Groomer and his fellow Ski Dozer guys to make it all nicey nice. Winter soon come.
  4. Nuvi is fine. Zumo has Bluetooth and other features you do not really need for the sled. If you want to use it on a motorcycle summertime that's a different story then. For sled nuvi is fine and can use in car rest of the year. Main thing is you need big screen to see it good. Hope it helps.
  5. Got to be on 83 somewhere out west near Balbazaurd?.???? Maybe not sure.
  6. Not missing anything by not going to club Scott for sure that's true.
  7. Hi Alain love you ride reports, top shelf for sure. Not sure of the name but this is the Relais in the parc, between St. Donat and St. Michael des Saints for the Balbazaurd issue I have heard this place has gone way down since years past. Has never been the most friendly place toward sledders. The owner I met was the original I believe tough old French lady from France had weimereiner dog grey thing incredible animal. Had dinner cooked on piece of granite on the tables it was way cool and something I will never forget. But you needed to go inside when you arrive even if you just want gas. If you didn't go in and say hello they would not come out. I believe that owner is gone I have been by there but have not stopped. For sure the fires there hurt the hunting for them. It's like the moon around there for sure now, Such a big change. Nice trail though but have good equipment and sat phone. It's lonely country between Clova and Seneterre.
  8. YES that was a good one for sure GT rider
  9. It took me a bit to get this one but I think I got it. Doamine Driftwood on local trail (orange trail) between 63 and 309. Nice stop does not look like much from the front but the back and inside is nice. Good food and nice people. Rooms downstairs with a shared bathroom. Got some chalets too.
  10. I am a GPS rookie for sure. Just started to use one last season. Many of my friends have used them for years. I have a Garmin Oregon series with a touch screen. It is mounted on my bars on the right side and powered from the sled. I have the Quebec trail maps for SLED and QUADS. LOVE IT. The original GPS is built in my brain I know the trails well. This ia a great addition for sure. Garmin is the most popular and there are many many choices.
  11. It's a few steps up from a warming hut but the food is good for sure. Good service like most stops. Better hope it stays open cause otherwise without that gas there the trails passing through there are useless.
  12. I see that Relais 22 is for sale. Crazy price too. Not sure how much of the woods is left near there after all the fire action this summer. It is located in a strategic spot for sure. Needs some updating in the bunkhouse. Not a bad stop for gas and lunch but staying there sucks. Pourvoirie Gouin also for sale. On the reservoir.
  13. I found the price but not much details on buildings or land. Thanks groomer.
  14. Hey Groomer! Does the sale price include the terrain or is it leased from the gov't and is just the business for sale? Nice place always busy sure is less traffic for sure compared to a few years back But There are always riders up in that area. I agree summer must not be as good for business as the sleds
  15. Ride motoneige yah mon we go

  16. Yes I agree Club Odanak was a great stop stayed there a few times. The owner who lost his son had come from Africa to Quebec not sure if he was from Quebec or France. Was a much different place once he was gone, and the new owners took over. With the closure of 347 it was game over. It's a Shame but without the 347 or an access trail that is groomed their fate is sealed not sure if 347 will ever be restored. This new trail 73 maybe will be what they need to make a comeback. We shall see. I will stop there. If it's open and accessible.
  17. Love that heavy machinery The only way Groomer I know you like them too. Great trails need big machines.
  18. This is for sure hopefully the new trail won't cross the road so much as the old one did.
  19. Too easy for sure let's see who gets it.
  20. Yes I agree any new trail is better then losing one. Technically speaking this is a re-route for the existing trail #73 so to me is not new since it goes to the same place Its all good.
  21. Yes 347 is sorely missed for sure would love to have it back again.
  22. Very intersting looks good the old trail was no great joy for sure. Can't wait to try it.. Snow soon come
  23. This is true the ice hotel is moving to quebec city.
  24. i have not done this loop, yet. My brother in law does business with at least one of the outfitters there. He told me about the loop. He knows I have ridden just about everywhere and said go there. Talking with Martin at the Tamarac in Clova it seems like a very popular run for the groups from mt Laurier(mostly French) from France . There is an Indian woman who makes traditional meals by reservation in her home (lunch stop for the tourists) Most of the trail is over the ice at times they say you can see no land at all just stakes marking The trail Note not groomed as often as is a private loop and not sure if they groom on the reservoir but I doubt it so never know what is like. They are open in winter I can verify that before we get the groomers going this year. That's all I got for you Timbo looks like a great loop is on my list for sure maybe this season. So many trails so little time.
  25. Auberge Presbytre Great stop owners and staff very friendly Shout out to the lovely Caroline behind the bar
