  1. Love it, Hubby and I passed a group once, we stop at next intersection and woman comes up to me to yell at me. She was taken aback when she realized I was a woman. HAHA....she's like how do you ride so fast, you scared me when you passed, I told her ride a real sled with mirrors and get rid of the Artic Cat....
  2. I have a 2005 Vector. It has the 3 cylinder four stroke, 120hp. It's the steering of hubby’s sled that I hate (not the suspension) and the ride position it not the same. I'm use to leaning when needed to slide around a corner, not possible for me on a Rev chassis. The Rev suspension does rule when it gets bumpy. His windshield is plenty high, but the wind also comes around the cowl underneath the handle bars.
  3. I ride a Vector and hubby has a 600 SDI Rev X. If he’s riding full out in the twisty woods trails yes he has to wait for me a little, in fields or straights not so much. This is more about guts than the sled. (I don’t feel safe riding that fast with trees and turns.) He can keep up with 800’s and more in the woods with his 600, so it’s not all about engine size. I absolutely HATE his sled, I know I'm an exception as everyone says get the wife a Rev and she will keep up. Not me, I was raised on the old seating style and drive like a Grandma if I have to ride his. Plus I find the Rev very cold to ride, the wind blasts me. I love everything about my Vector no smell, gas mileage, nice color....all except the weight, if I were to get stuck without help I'd be there till the snow melted. To answer your question, yes I'd be upset if my sled was underpowered and I couldn't keep up in the fields, but even with my Vector I'm hardly ever hitting full throttle.
  4. Stayed at Motel Le Phare in Plessisville Thursday night, restaurant not open for breakfast, and unable to find the snowmobile trail from their parking lot. (long story) Drove to Manior Du Lac William, Friday morning. Nice place, ate breakfast buffet for $8.00. Reserved room for Friday night, expensive $225 for two people one night including breakfast and dinner. They have a gated coral for truck parking, and charge $20 per day if you don’t stay at the hotel. They also have a heated locked garage for sleds. Rode 235 miles Friday, very cold -22 Fahrenheit when we finally got going around 9:30. Snow coverage good, bumpy around St Marie as always, and a bit bumpy leaving hotel due to broken drag on side of trail. Drag was moved Friday night, but still bumpy. Saturday rode 210 miles, snow gets thin/icy around Victoriaville, wouldn’t start any farther south/west of there. Snowed all day, was fun blasting through drifts in fields, couldn’t see anything due to light/snow, but fun and great in the woods.
  5. I believe he is refering to Greta's photo. A "min pin" is a miniature Doberman pincher (dog) I think Greta is a dachshund, though?
  6. Driving to Plessisville Thursday night, will be riding towards Rivere Du Loop Friday Morning
  7. Thanks for the report...good idea to get as far away from the PA guys as possible... smclelan - I've been at that same motel in the same conditions...crazy after we had ridden in rain the day before
  8. Great hope it holds up. Planning a trip 2/29-3/2
  9. Rode this on Friday 1/25 - good trails, watch intersection change near L Etape to get to Gas Pont Rouge, trail 3 to short 304 to 369 to L Etape = 114 miles L Etape, trail 23 to 73 to Pont Rouge = 100 miles
  10. What is the trail mileage for the loop from St Raymond to L Etape and back via Quebec City? I know it's about 100 miles from St Raymond to L Etape, but I don't know the mileage from the Quebec City side. Thanks
  11. Local resident said Roquement had 200 sleds in the yard Saturday night and a ton of trucks in their yard. Going up Thursday, will report when I return on Monday
