  1. Alain… St Come Ice Festival… really great … one of my favorites
  2. At this stage everyone knows it's your own personal responsibility that counts the most ..not what other folks are doing...you are free to wear a mask or not go dining , personal choice should not infringe on others.
  3. BERNARD…. One of a kind… never to be replaced….kind heart.. great sense of humor…. He made a difference… most you can ask for in life… and everyone respected him…. And he lived as he saw fit… his way… everyday… may the wind always be at his back.
  4. How big is he… unless there is an accident… he’s going to keep his helmet on and his mouth shut.. mostly they want to see trail passes and registration… usually just trail pass papers and maybe check vin number on tunnel… obviously the real liability is in not having an accident… unfortunately that has you rely on all the other riders on the trail
  5. I have an extreme with the 1.8 track...and hands down it's the best track I have ever ridden and no problem what so ever on the trail....very quiet and no vibration...just like they advertise it being silent drive...the traction is mind bending and it allows for lift in deep snow and will climb nearly anywhere a summit will...much better than my backcountry...wish they offered that 1.8 on the 146 backcountry...it would really make that sled much better. I,m not sure about the trail ride on the strut suspension...that would be my only concern as it's a narrow front end and I don't know how well it would or wouldn't respond to high speed cornering or trail riding 200 mile days...but I'm sure the 900r is going to be incredible in these sleds, I'm probably going to trade my 850 extreme for a 900r extreme, they go down the trail very nice...smoothest ride you will find.
  6. Been riding since 1966… only thought’s I have about continuing to ride are what my next sled will be… I really want to ride in 8 different decades… dreams don’t retire!!
  7. Wonder how Justin would do in a special election now… probably not like the last one
  8. So they pick you for a random test and let you travel on and report back to them with the results….. makes no sense…
  9. great question....funny how this is working like that....maybe it's close to going away
  10. They really did a beautiful job...something to be proud of for sure, nice craftmanship
  11. sometimes you get lucky, and it's the little shit that can be a disaster, nice to carry a spare oil cap and fuel cap, easy to do, stops you dead when you need one, years ago when things were simple, spark plugs and a belt and that was about it, today these little things can take half a tool chest and 3 hours to get to...and you end up leaving your ride behind in a foreign country...for something cheap and easy...good thing this sport is a lot of fun.
  12. I hope those guys are getting hazard pay, you don't get to make too many mistakes doing that
  13. My 850 backcountry is breathing a little easier today!!
  14. If he hasn't broken it ...it's a good testament to how good it is...I'm sure he has tested the breaking point !!
  15. Very common failure on cars and they almost always fail on the cold side and stick open leaving you with no heat but drive-able...you won't need a loan to pay for this job...very lucky diagnosis...I think I'll get familiar with the location on my sled...never seen one stuck on a sled...but it's small and cheap and easy to carry ...never ends.
  16. Years ago in a cold winter I got to drive out to the rock on my sled...that doesn't happen much anymore, I was surrounded by old Indy's all now antiques...I will try to find that picture for posting.
  17. Really great stuff here...about as good as it gets from a key board position!!
  18. A couple of old fashion hard working guys who would like to see things put back to where they were 20 years ago...now being portrayed as law breakers.....probably sweat for everything they have, supported their families, went to work every day...and never asked anyone for anything....and now they have to do this to have a voice, insulting for sure.
  19. And there is a guy from Parent an older fella who is a regular at the bar at The Central who has a 1988 Indy 500...with 35k...and it's pretty worn...but still runs well....pretty amazing how tough some of these sleds are...you get out into the bush and there are some old high mileage sleds still running every day
  20. I've seen some pretty high mileage 4 strokes in Quebec....lots in the 25k range...saw a Yamaha vector with 35 on it....but the most I've seen...an rx1 in Mount St. Pierre with ....51k on it, getting the valves adjusted and carbs cleaned...the guy told me....the only thing he never has to replace or work on ...was the engine!!
