Great report & pic's. We ran out of Deschambault which is a bit south west of St Raymond just at the Highway 40 and took the 3 mainly across to the 83 Saturday. 3 was hit & miss for good to not so good. It was crazy busy or at least more than what I am used to seeing way up north. We to stopped at the Relais Le Michelieu as well mid afternoon and the gas guy said they had a counter the weekend before and 2500 sleds went through on 1 day. Nice to see people enjoying the sport but from now on I'm staying north , lol. We ended up at the Ravage as well for the night. Unfortunately when I booked they only had space in a cabin available and the water wasn't working in it even after 2 try's so I cant say it was the best stay, or at least for that price! I had the Elk, what were you served? It looked great and I can't say I saw any others with a similar plate. Thanks for the full write up, Mike

I used to pull them like that but i find some of the new designs of front bumpers are a bit weak. Had to pull my buddy this weekend and just hooked the a arms. The sno bunjie kit looks slick. May invest since i seem to always be the puller. I guess that’s better than being the other

Anyone stayed there and have any reviews for parking & trails in & out Thinking of trying this instead of Rouqemont for a little bit different ride. Thank

My only thoughts are the trails are not the fastest until you get more north. Not saying you wont make it but it will be a long day i would leave from at least Maniwaki since the truck ride isn’t significant from Ottawa

I believe the sled with CAA was Quebec members only and not Ontario. I was on their site the other day looking for this and while it had other vehicles there was no sled. On another note we were at L'Etape Dec 30 and a rider was waiting for a flat bed to come and bring him and sled to St Raymond, he said it was either 700 or 750. I know another time in Gaspe a friend went off the side at Avalanche Run and a but had to go in with a sled and pull it out. Got charged $600 for ride back to RDL and the extraction/ I got lucky another time with a tow from Rimouski to RDL by a neighbor who saw us in the fields and came an offered his help. He was only $50 and he even stopped at the Tim's lol for a coffee. That was the only sled that ever left me stranded, 2007 Yamaha apex chain case My buddy crashed another time around 3 pistols? and I went and found a house and he called a buddy who had a garage. Picked us up brought us to a hotel and cam back next morning and brought us to RDL for $200, around the 2015 time I believe. The garage at Mt St Ann I believe that used to have the gas gave us his card and said if we ever needed a lift or help to call. We used his bay to de ice one of our Cats So all to say there are good and bad stories. Fortunately ours have been good and very positive. Mike

Ive been married too long. I need adventure! i know you guys did a run last spring and have read most of the reports for planning. This is one trip that is really getting me pumped just praying for good weather

When i spoke to him 2-3 weeks ago he said he would be grooming it to the Pensive this winter. Just not sure if its been done yet. I will be going up there next weekend and will find out for sure the other section is another club likely St Anne and u would need to maybe email them and ask.

Mike i will say this and i don’t post alot but do check in to regularly . I understand these forums need to generate money but honestly i think this is getting a little carried away. The forums are here to be used as they have been in my opinion to share information and experiences. Yes we can when in position to promote to a hotel or other the benefits but ultimately I believe its the forum owners to go out and sell their advertising like any business will/does. I think whenever we do attend a place that supports the forum to tell them we heard about them here and appreciate the support. But to be sensored because they’re not a supporter is just wrong. Im sure others will have thoughts comments and this is mine. I do appreciate the owners of this and the other forums i use and maybe in time an annual subscription should be considered for all. In saying this i will become a contributing member this week to put my money where my mouth is so to speak.

ya but I think the groomers are out, looking green in some of that section earlier today. Also some of this area will get snow beginning of the week and then next weekend. Unless of course the weather person is wrong but really how often does that happen

Although as many have noticed there is some issues this season with some trails not being or showing updated when in fact they have been.

I think with the newer owners you can use credit but when I was there last it was cash only. Maybe some one can chime in and confirm. I tried calling this week for conditions but they didn't answer and I didn't leave a message.

Ok I thought so. Stayed some years back. Nice place. Went to stay in more recent years and couldn’t make reservation but said if i came within the year he would honour but I believe he sold before i could take them up on it
