Got a foot, it melted. Forecast for this week looks like winter will start-up again. Depending on snow, they will start small runs with the groomer in December sometime.

Understand you are leaving the normal trail system, have good tracks loaded into your GPS, talk to the folks that live on either end, and off you go. Good for the adventure types.

I would not do it without a GPS with the tracks, and the knowledge on how to use it. You are talking 100 miles of mostly ungroomed, possibly unmarked trail. It goes on and off islands, on and off the ice many, many times. Very fun for the adventurous types.

If it is staked, it is pretty simple for the more adventurous type.

Let's not get too excited, you are not putting 500km on 12 inches of snow up there, unless you go back and forth on the 60 miles 10 times. Not that much fun for me. It is nice to see the snow, need a lot more cold to freeze up the mud, streams, rivers and lakes up there. The riding will be soon......
