Was in Le-Bel-sur Quevillon a couple yrs. ago having lunch and a pop and the bartender warned us of cops watching there establishment and targeting sledders for speed/alcohol etc.

I have a pair of Keweenaw bibs and at the time I bought them (5 yrs ago) they were advertised as being the warmest bib available from Klim. So I'm going to assume in reading the spec's on the Klimate bib that you may at best get equal warmth but not warmer than Keweenaw.

I always carry X-tra fuel I also bought a caddy for my wife's sled.... That did the trick so she'd keep her eyes on the trail instead of the gas gauge..

I've made the run from Kitcisakik- Domaine without needing refueled with some of my riding partners being on 800 Polaris

If it were me I'd refuel in Kitcisakik and take the old trail (short cut) run to Le Domaine and skip running down through La Vendrye it wiil cut off over 20mi.

No groomed or marked trail from Clova, bush trails, logging roads etc. Phil1 and I made the trek last year to find out they were closed but we didn't have plans on staying overnight so no biggy.

I believe club Les Our Blancs reported on FB that they were opening 13 towards Mount Laurier within the last day or so.

Some things have changed in Manawan since my first visit in 1995. A nice new grocery store with gas pumps without cages or locks and the Auberge Manawan that I've only heard good things about. With that being said some things haven't changed, stray dogs running the streets that look to be starving and kids interested in the outside world and that occasional stare like you have three heads......
