  1. Doesn't look good, lads. I'm mucho glad I have a 144" Assault switchie on order............I'll need that "extra tunnel" to carry the extra gas needed to ride the Gaspesie this winter.
  2. Sweet!!! I feel mucho invigorated!!
  3. MR That was before you and bros. went over to the Dark Side! lol. Timbo
  4. Whoaaa, JG. That budworm damage is really nasty!! timbo
  5. J&S Thanks! Yup. The blessed season looms ever nearer. T

  7. Wow! Lurking amongst the mummies! That pic is an oldie.
  8. A most beautiful sight!!
  9. Appreciate the feedback. Seems like going a tad further north to start out, makes a lot of sense.
  10. Thanks for the feedback, vt_blue
  11. Thanks for the info, Jack! We had ridden that area a few years ago (Valcourt, Magog, Sherbrooke, etc) and had great trails in early March. (might have been the 2010 winter you mentioned????) We rode down there on a loop from SMDS. We had not commenced our ride in that area so I have no experience with leaving truck & trailer there.
  12. Indeed, Andy, i find Bill's candid assessments to be quite refreshing. Thanks, Bill :-)
  13. Lads We are scant days from the Summer Solstice. Yes, amigos, thereafter the days grow shorter. The nites longer. That most blessed of seasons looms on the near horizon. Those faithful devotees of the snow will have thoughts full of traversing a winter wonderland, astride their good sled (average sled if they are for some reason forced to ride other than Polaris machines), amazed at the winter wonderland surrounding. NOW that I have that out of my system, lol, I have a question for you who may be familiar with Magog/Orford area. Anyone have any suggestions/experience with motel/hotel there that would be a decent place to leave one's rig while taking off on a week or so on a saddlebag excursion. From here in PA, if one anticipates heading east out thru Esterie, Chaudiere Appalache, bas ST Laurent, to the Gaspesie, we can save two hours or so driving, and a day or more riding (if Berthier ferry or the Laviolette bridge shuttle are open) than if we do our traditional start from Grand Mere. Any suggestions??
  14. Most sad, indeed, Andyman. Sympathies to you and Lisa. Timbo & Krissy
  15. Your new ride looks great. Great pics, as always. timbo
  16. You're another year wiser, Ice. Timbo
  17. Yeah! Right. Look at the gentleman holding the largest glass!
  18. So true, Andyman. Let's pray we find trails like that everywhere in la belle province the winter to come. Otherwise, on a mid-winter's day with scant snow coverage over a little ice on a downhill approach to a road crossing (on the sunny side of the hill) in the early evening .................. the poor stud-less fux will have quite a bit of excitement.
  19. Log onto the fcmq site (fcmq.qc.ca) and check out the "news release" from the Ministry regarding studs for the upcoming snow season. It does not appear that any progress has been made as of yet to re-mediate this issue for the winter to come????
  20. Some great pics, JG. Your snow is staying late, no . timbo
