MrGutz
Hey Guyz, I thought I'd share some upgrades and changes I'm trying this year on the 1200. Being use to the Mach's razor type handling on the trailz the 1200 is little less sharp..... So here is what I'm trying and if you want to try it out let me know. -Ball joints off the Race Sled, it changes the front geometry slightly, making it similiar to the new Can-Am Spyder front end. -Rebuilt and Revalved shocks with Dual Rate Springs from Ian at Monster. -A custom sway bar from a guy in Quebec City. It is a very nice piece. I will report the good and bad. Later GutZ
markusvt
Never could close the deal on the swaybar, how did you get it from him?
hparaptor
Nice. Ian does a great job on shock rebuilds. Learned of him through my dealer (Seymours).
MrGutz
Never could close the deal on the swaybar, how did you get it from him? He had said get a hold of him in sept and then I kept emailing him. Do you want me to ask if he has any more? Gutz
markusvt
What was the delivered cost?
MrGutz
It was 135 for the bar, AND you have to buy the 2 bar levers and bushing from the GTX. Yes, production slowly started…I would like to know if you are a trail blaster or a scenic trail rider just tired of skis lift. BRP have 2 sizes of sway-bars…one for Grand-Touring(bigger 1mm but not hard enough) and the other for all other models. If you are a trail blaster, I recommend the Grand-Touring size, our bar is a1/2inch round diameter with both ends worked by CNC machine to fit to OEM aluminum levers…both are at same price 135.00 but some of small bars had broken( around 5%) when used by trail blaster. The big one is more rigid and more efficient without any broken. If you choose the big size, you will have to change the 2 aluminum levers(505072446 BRP part number) and plastic bushings(505072445 BRP part number)… I use this one since 3 seasons.
