  1. Today
  2. Was not lightning or mice with matches.
  3. Wow. Wonder if the structural steel was compromised from the heat. I'd like to think lightning, but I can't see the main steel structure not being the first to take the hit. You'd see those marks in the steel. Absolutely ridiculous that clubs have this to deal with.
  4. Lightning? Maybe? or are we sure it was vandals? GutZ
  5. Yesterday
  6. When they are found, they should be hung by their eyelashes to a hydro line and have their balls batted until they blink!
  7. Last week
  8. I see it's at least showing on the app again - in red
  9. We drove to Relais 22 last ride of the season due to lack of snow, they had enough wood cut and stacked for 100 homes.
  10. It is a big system for private solar. Issue is solar performance drops considerably in the winter when these guys need it to work. You get 1/2 the daylight at our latitude which equates to half the power and then snowy days where the sunlight is reduced considerably. So I'd bet they've oversized to accomodate for that. When looking at these microgrid systems a big solar or micro turbine is tiny when you start into vehicle charging. That big 95 kw system would barely charge two cars with no other loads on it. The tesla super chargers are charging at rates of up to 300 kw.
  11. Found this. I know nothing about sizing solar but 95kw for them seems beefy
  12. This is good news. The price of diesel to run generators at these places must be astronomical. Relais La Cache is equipped with a large solar farm, not sure if they are self sufficient. I am certianly not a "greenie" but if these project reduce operating costs enough to keep their operations profitable I am 100% supportive.
  13. They'll need 10 of them to run viable electric charging. That or a big battery coupled with still 4 or 5 micro turbines. Wonder what size units they're installing.
  14. We will need that for our electric sleds
  15. 100 Lacs has some sort of hydroelectricity station as well .
  16. Going Green. Did you know that your Relais 22 will be carrying out a complete energy transition project this summer? Yes, we'll be generating our own hydroelectricity thanks to innovative technology from Bearstream (a Quebec company), with the installation of a river micro-turbine. We're going to stop emitting over 450 tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere every year. When you consider that a small car emits 2 tonnes of GHG into the atmosphere every year, that's no mean feat. What's more, in collaboration with Circuit électrique, we'll be the first in Quebec to offer a 50kw fast-charging station off the Hydro-Québec grid and powered by hydroelectricity. Starting this summer, you'll be able to recharge your electric vehicles on our premises, in the forest, without any problems, while enjoying a delicious meal and your favorite beverage. We look forward to welcoming you this summer. Stay tuned for our next publications on this subject
  17. Earlier
  18. I've stopped there several times over the years. It was always busy.
  19. A quick update, on the longer length\Mountain Sleds it is recommended to change the mounting hole on the front arm, very similar to the rMotionX. This leveled the track and should keep excess weight off the skis. Still trying to work out the front steering. 20. Yes, that is the location. Just before or after crossing the lake depending on which direction you're coming from.
  21. Gonna see a lot of places change hands with the baby boomers retiring. Some good opportunities for young folks with some ambition.
  22. Local legend has it the waitresses can even make you feel a little froggy….
  23. FredSled I believe the Location is Here??
  24. Nice place coming back from LSJ area to Delta. Some great smaller trails off the TQ main. Good food and drinks. Nice people.
