  1. I think you mean Roberval? We plan on getting to the Escapade early Thurs afternoon, unloading and probably ride to St Raymond for the night at the Roquemont. Then up to Roberval Friday night at Chateau Roberval then to the Gouin Saturday. We plan to continue West from there.
  2. Use this link for trail mileage, can't be any easier. http://www.viaexplora.com/snowmobile/index.html We syaed at the Odanack last year, nice place but call to make sure there open. The Safari is open. You also have the Escapade in Shawinigan which is nice with bar and restaurant.
  3. That's right JG, Louise needs a head count so you just have to call, no deposit for the room either.
  4. Thats why we never book ahead. We are headed up next weekend for a week bag trip, no idea where yet will deceide the day before we leave. We usually call ahead in the morning or at lunch for the nights stay. Have never been shut out. The only time we may plan ahead if its a Fri or Sat night.
  5. Well it sounds like it a definate go. There are 4 cabins left that will sleep 27. One person per bed no sharing. Everyone who's going needs to call Louise and give your name and tell her it;s for the QR gathering so she can get a head count. There number is 1-877-720-8900 We are probably going to be at Chateau Roberval the Friday night before, They had plenty of rooms available. Jim
  6. HaHa, thats too funny, I asked Louise to if she heard of QR. Are you guys still up there? If so how did the trails hold up with the rain. I'm hoping this works out for Feb.
  7. The conditions for the Gaspe of been downgraded to acceptable now http://www.infomotoneigistegaspesie.com/en/condition.php
  8. We are going to need some sort of head count, I'm not worried about Roberval they have plenty of rooms and no hockey tournament that weekend. But the Barrage only has 4 cabins and one room in the lodge. We plan on riding most of that week from the Barrage on West. There will be at least 2 in my group maybe 4.
  9. I made a few calls, we could do Shawinigan to Chateau Roberval for Friday the 21st plenty of rooms, mileage about 220. Then Sat for the gathering to Barrage Gouin, they have 4 cabins available and one room in the lodge, $85 for everything, Louise said it would sleep up to 30 or so. Mileage about 210 to the Barrage from Roberval. Any other sugestions, I'm open to them. Another option is heading to the casino area down the 83 from Roberval.
  10. Sorry to here about your buddy, hopefully this works out. We will be riding for a week starting that weekend. We usually start in Shawinigan. I was thinking the Saguenay region and maybe down to La Malbaie, from there you could head back to Shawinigan or continue across the ferry to Tadousaic which is where we would head. We shall see what happens
  11. Keep in mind there showing rain and temps in the 40's Sat and Sun
  12. A little bummed this years gathering fell apart. I've been to everyone since the first in 100 Lacs. Was curious if there would be enough interest to put one together for February, Maybe around the 21st. Could be a long shot but it's still 6weeks away. I have some ideas on where but need to know if theres any interest after the last attempt.
  13. I bought the trakmaps sd card. So you dont need any topo map. All it has is the basecamp I beleive.
  14. Anyone know the best Canadian Topo map to download into a Garmin Montana. Free if possible
  15. Mike could be in the other tub with the older crowd, they look like there having more fun!
  16. Looking at the hot tub cam looks like alot of guys showed up looking for the cheerleaders! Think the place is booked now
  17. Photshopped, according to the coments following
  18. May have to check out the Hotel hot tub web cam again?
  19. So much for the cheerleaders, I guess back to reality!
  20. Who cares about the conditions, break out the mask and snorkel and get back in the hot tub! Don't forget to practice your cheers! LoL
  21. We fueled up at Le domaine and made it to the Truit lake outfitter, he has fuel, put in a couple gallons, just enough to get to Belletere which was 10 miles away where we fueled up, much cheaper. We took the local orange trail up to the 309.
  22. It looks like if you took the 309 from Val dor to 63 to the Pavillion would be a little over 200miles.. We went that way last year and remembering it being real nice. We stayed at the outfitter in Trout lake East of Belletere
  23. Your a lucky man Mike! Better then a hockey tournament eh?
  24. The don't like the new set up at all. Thats the link on the FCMQ site.
  25. Go on Dootalk in the XR forum and do a search on the Viper. That will give you an idea of the quality of that sled. I put Simmons Gen III's on the 1200 and a skid plate. certainly helps to get the nose up on top of the powder. Those 5.7's are useless in deep snow for any flotation. Bigger paddles on the track would help also, I'd do a 1.5
