  1. Pipemaster I will also be driving up on the 8th. Leaving from RDL. Maybe we will meet on the trail somewhere. Enjoy.
  2. SnowCrazed What is the name and location of the Auberge in post 214? Looks like a nice place.
  3. Doing the loop for the first time this coming week. Where is the big suspension/cable bridge located. What trail number and neer what city? Thanks

    Gaspe loop

Thanks for the replies. We decided to postpone for a later date. Sounds like we made the right decision, from Groomers last post in his Pics thread.
  5. We have a 6 day ride planned out of RDL on Monday. I see the Gaspe is getting pounded with snow, with more coming. This is our first trip there. What is the opinion of the experienced Gaspe riders, would the trails be opened up by Monday to Matane, then to Mont Saint Pierre for Tuesday? Would it be a good idea to wait until the clubs can get out to groom the new snow?
  6. Thanks Iceman. Sounds like around Shawinigan is not great, but rideable to get further north to better conditions. Hoping for some snow early next week.
  7. I know there hasn't been much new snow, but have the groomers been out and loosened up the hard pack after the rain? Planning to ride out of the Escapade on 1/24 heading towards Kanawata and returning thru LaTuque on 1/26 if possible. Could we do it at this time?
  8. What would you feel better about, gas from the 5 gallon cans or the clubhouse? Hopefully WEMOGAZ opens up.
  9. Thanks. The Etechs would probably make it, but the others may not. Where exactly is the 5 Gallon Gas Station and is it fairly reliable? Probably could get info at the Relais.
  10. What would be an estimate on milage from Kanawata to Relais 22? I would guess around 120-130 Miles. Wondering if you could make it without getting gas in Wemotaci.
  11. Thanks for the info guys. Looking forward to many miles of good riding this winter.
  12. Would be a disappointment if they didn't serve food this year. Was always better than the chicken place in LeTape. It was a nice stop about halfway between LSJ and St Raymond.
  13. Does anyone know if Mt Apica will be serving food this winter?
  14. 600IQ, thanks for the report, I will be thru there on Sunday. Glad to hear it is passable
  15. Very discouraging this year. We wanted to circle the peninsula for the first time this coming week and we changed our plans to head to the Abitibi.
  16. Thanks for all the responses. Is there always gas in Desmairisville or can you call ahead? Would be in big trouble if they had no gas.
  17. Roughly how many miles from Chibougamou to Sennetere and then to Lac Faillon. Any suggestions on a place to stay near Sennetere.
  18. Thanks for the help. Do you think we can ride into Roberval or St Felicien for lodging or should we stay out of town?
  19. Planning a loop from Shawinigan and my only concern is trail conditions around Roberval. I hear there is a lack of snow in that area. Can anyone confirm that you can make it from Relais 22 headed east on 83 to Roberval for the night and connect onto 93 to Chibougamau? Thank You
  20. Where can I buy a 3 day trail pass in Shawinigan on a Friday morning?
  21. Thanks for the info MrGutz. I have used Gary Pruitts tour services in the past and was very pleased. I was just curious if NE Bob was still in the tour business or if he had retired. Maybe I'll give him a call. Only about five more months till snow.
  22. Is New England Bob still giving tours in Quebec? Myself and five friends had a tour booked with him three years ago and he cancelled due to pour conditions in Quebec. Any updated info on NE Bob?
  23. Is it worth while to make the ride over to and stay at the casino in La Malbie. I'm sure it is a beautiful place, but do they have a secure place for sleds at night?
  24. Looks like on day 2, on our way from Kanawata to Roberval we could stop into Windigo for lunch and fuel. What do you think of that idea?
  25. What exactly is an outfitter? Is it like a motel or more like a B&B? Is there gas available? Restaurant, dining hall, buffet? If you arrive late at night do you miss dinner? I would really hate to miss dinner. Are they really popular with snowmobilers? Do they usually speak english? I know I have a lot of questions, but I really have no idea. Thanks
