  1. Linda, My thoughts and prayers go to the utility worker's family. That shouldn't have happened and am sorry to hear of it. Mike
  2. Not rocky enough. Too dry for Beartown. Looks more like Pittsfield.
  3. No damage here, other than some branches that fell down. A tree is leaning on a neighbors house, but don't expect much damage. Close call. Local streets were empty, strange for rush hour on a Monday night. Crazysnow, give me a call. Check your mailbox for my number.
  4. Nice! Photoshop makes a rainy day go by faster...
  5. Wind started picking up around 9 this morning and the rain began around 1 this afternoon. Too bad this isn't snow. Work closed their offices and I'm home working on a couple of projects in the shop. Think I'll throw a 6 pack in the fridge. Hey Jean Guy, is that trailer fixed yet? Need to get rid of a couple of bottles!
  6. That lake must be cursed.... Same place where my engine cold seized.
  7. I sense another problem if someone has to repeat themselves in the same post... Maybe from too much 2 stroke oil fumes???
  8. Had to do that on my Yamaha... Its quite common. Engine had 400 hours on it and the mechanic felt it was due... Valves were just starting to go out of tolerance. Keep in mind, this was off of my 660 thumper....
  9. This happened on the last day of a multi day ride, heading back from Lac St Jean. Believe it occurred on Lac Eduard (JG, please correct me) right after lunch. After our lunch break, ripped across a lake and my engine went bang.... needless to say, the tow back was interesting since it was 90 miles to a gas station, being pulled by Jean Guy's Apex... A cold seized engine, lean out due to a bad seal on the engine. Covered under warranty, sled was only a couple of months old and had around 1800 miles in it. Was riding again a week after dropping off the sled.
  10. So far, its just me. Thanks for coordinating the event, Bill.
  11. Was going to mention the same intersection.... Picture is from the overlook, west of St Donat - off of 33, Mont Des Cenelles.
  12. LOL. How did you get a picture of MY OFFICE?
  13. Hey John. Enjoying the summer and keeping busy at work. Not much time for anything else. Not that I'm complaining about working... Next project I get in Ontario, I'll find a place to have my picture taken. Maybe I'll find something in Quebec... How have you been???
  14. I can tell you WHO you were riding with that day
  15. Booked room this morning. Need to call hotel directly since group rate is not in system. Looking forward to meeting some of the members.
  16. Thank you for the post. Figured they would extend the deadline to something after December 12. Didn't want to pay a permit fee and have the world end...LOL How do you get the insurance money back?
  17. Looks like a good time was had by all. Any more pictures?
  18. I miss Tolland. Nice riding. Hated it the first time and somehow, liked the challenge after the second time. Picture heading into in what we refer to the "Cherokee pit" on my first time riding there... good times...
  19. David, Don't recall Bill. Which department did he work in? Spoke to another "Hipo" employee and he thinks Bill could have been in Epoxy. Will have to look into this. Mike
  20. Trick question! Saw the image north of Balance rock and thought PSF. The hill climb looked familiar, but since I never rode Rocktober, that park never came to mind. Have you tried Beartown? I might have to renew my registration in Mass. Although, I hate the new tags the riding is worth it.
