  1. If anyone wants to try this, it worked for me on another forum, but who knows if that will solve the problems here. I'm sure it's different for every browser and operating system, so you may have to do things different. I'm using the latest Chrome on Windows 11. If you go up to the URL section at the top, you'll see "Not secure". Left-click on it and select "Site settings", a new tab will appear as shown below. Select "Privacy and security". Scroll down to "insecure content" and set it "Allow". I also did this for "pop-ups and redirects" and "intrusive ads" for the heck of it. Note that this only effects quebecrider and none of the other sites you visit. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_01/image.png.13bbe3ff941c93cb6355c82f0e1cd150.png http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_01/image.thumb.png.ca9b127b7f6876d4ba4f4133f905ee67.png
  2. I’ve worked with a few people on this and it seems to be related to older operating systems. I would suggest trying a different computer or phone. However, I just bought a windows 11 computer and there’s another website forum I can’t see because it’s an unsecured https, but it works fine on an iPad.
  3. Lac Blanc and Saccacomie are in this region.
  4. I was surprised to see this, I've always had a good time at Lac Blanc. These people must not be members of QR, or they would know how and why you lock everything up...
  5. Is the bearded-one coming out of retirement?
  6. You may have better luck if you put that on a bottle of red wine instead of milk…
  7. This is always a busy time of year for “Accidents”.
  8. I just found this statement from the ministry of Quebec on the APTN website: The Ministrie has been working with provincial and local governments to safely transport the polar bear back to its natural habitat or to the polar bear sanctuary of the zoo in St Felicien. Unfortunately, due to enforcement of current Covid regulations, all containers approved for bear transportation are currently occupied by those who have chosen to disobey said regulations. Since the Canadian government is still not approved to execute its citizens, the bear had to go. The Ministrie would like to thank the offer from Thomas Rohlman to use his trailer to transport the bear, but unfortunately it’s only approved to transport large cats. We would also like to thank him for his subsequent offer to purchase the bear skin, which will now reside at pourvoirie kanawata. Sincerely, Jean-Donald LaGlace Directeur, Ministrie du Quebec
  9. Does anyone know if there’s an official trip duration that might get you a random Covid test once you cross into Canada? I’m guessing if you do a day trip or one night, they won’t ask you to take the test, so it got me thinking if there was a hard break like a week or so.
  10. And this was before iceman spoke French…
  11. Either playhard or Florida snowman smoked a track at lac a Jim 15 years ago!
  12. That’s one of New England Bobs stops. Tom and David were there on one trip, Bob got lost again and I think there was a wedding going on that night.
  13. There is something strange going on with pictures, I'm trying to figure it out... I think the problem has to do with "inserting" the pic after you upload it. If you just upload the pics [and don't click insert], that might work fine for now, but they will all just show up at the bottom of the post.
  14. The CL-14 helmet will freeze up when you don’t do more than 200 miles in a day. Since you’re doing just a few miles a day, you should be able to use a helmet like this… http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2022_02/B33327DA-794A-4185-A86E-9D8320BFABC3.thumb.jpeg.965004b37be9c69e9aa493c248f9973d.jpeg
  15. I should clarify, this is not while you’re riding! However, one time, with a blown engine in Dolbeau while everyone else is riding, it applies. In this case I was lucky there was also a bowling alley across the street… http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2022_01/7DD570CB-3F1C-4B02-8F45-FD685EE075AC.thumb.jpeg.6afd9ca9dbacc8b3c2860647a14eb66f.jpeg
  16. Love that place. Hopefully they saved the velvet Elvis picture.
  17. The habs are just using Covid as an excuse, there aren’t any fans because they suck ass this year 😂
  18. After Nov 30, Canadians going to the US [for short visits] won't need a test. I haven't heard anything about changing the test requirements for US citizens going to Canada.
  19. FYI, I don't see any posts deleted in this topic.
  20. Bridge looks a little short 🤷🏻‍♂️
  21. Here are some various Northern Quebec webcams... https://meteochicoutimi.com/cameras-en-direct
  22. Starting in November [likely], vaccinated Canadians can travel to the US by car, train, etc. You don't need a negative test, unlike the idiotic Canadian government requirement.
