Just creating a new topic for people to share their latest border crossing experiences. It’ll be nice to see who’s the first... Any tips on how to manage the crossing will also be useful, especially the negative test, and where to get the test, and at a reasonable price. Maybe iceman or other residents can chime in, but it seems like they will use the app and your cell phone to track you while in Canada? I would definitely delete the app when you cross, and if possible, shut off that phone and use another.

The same news station that yesterday said u don’t need a negative test, just open to a random test, now says u need a negative test.

Not sure I understand? If Canada says we can go, we can go, not matter what the US says. Our government hasn’t cleared the way for Canadians to come into the US, maybe that’s what u mean?

Our local news says you just need your vax card and be prepared to be randomly tested.

I understand people not wanting to get vaccinated, but since I’m vaccinated, I refuse to go anywhere or do anything that requires a test. And I was hoping to bring my chainsaw and help groomer out for a few days, but I guess it will be next year, mon ami...

Don’t forget the fine print... There are additional requirements to enter Canada, including that travelers must: Provide COVID-19 related information such as proof of vaccine through ArriveCAN's app or web portal before departing for Canada. Meet pre-entry testing requirements. Be asymptomatic when arriving. Submit a quarantine plan. Be ready to quarantine if necessary. Funny how you don’t hear about the 72 hour window requirement still in place for a negative test. Certainly not in the headlines and barely in the fine print.
