  1. Bills right theres hot women in the Sagueney but fortunately thats a common occurance all over the Province. My first trip to Canada was Chaudierre/BSL saddlebag, we rode out to Rimouski from St Georges. Great riding well marked and close to those of us in ME, southeastern NH and Eastern MA. I''ve also taken the 9-10 hour ride 4 times to the Sagueney to ride. Driving to Sagueney is good early or late season but in the middle I'd stop closer to Quebec City or Shawinigan and ride up there for the best of both worlds. HI is a good place to stay and it's nice that Bills there to help the American riders out.
  2. I'd say 250 is pushing it but an honest 180-190 is probably there and needing to bring way less oil on a saddlebag. Renegade 600 ETEC will be my spring order unless I can steal a used Renegade 600SDI come March.
  3. coming from NY down autoroute 20 I'd just go to RDL, Universal or hotel levesque in RDL are places friends have parked at.
  4. it's less than $50 for the boat oil per gallon and it should be the same stuff.
  5. true, what a difference from this years T-day trip
  6. looks to be about the same amount of snow at auberge 31 as there was in November when we were there
  7. price of the TNT is pretty much inline with the X and equipment wise the TNT is an X with softer suspension so I don;t think price will be too bad. I see this as being my sled for next year assuming no real issues over the rest of the winter. Boats are harder ona motor than snowmobiling given their constant operating RPM's so hoping this will be reliable for 10,000+ miles.
  8. that is the correct info that i've seen on the customs website and recent news articles.
  9. arupbenstein got your pm I will post mine tonight, finally back with the computer that had them all on it.
  10. i've kept my old V710 for that reason as well, need the analog band in northern NH and Quebec. John if Telus is the Canadian provider with the best coverage Verizon or Us Cellular would be your choice(CDMA phones) depending on who gives a better deal on canadian roaming, AT&T if Rogers has better coverage. I've used mine with no issues as far out as Rimouoski all throughout CHaudierre and in Sagueney with no issues. I'd go on Ebay and get a V710 for use when you ride and something like a KrZR for use the rest of the time, once you do it once you can switch phones online. Heres their coverage map, obviosuly gaps in the rural areas but looks like many of the typical stops are in coverage. telus coverage
  11. Rob right now Garmin is not a type of file allowed to upload in the invision settings can you guys adjust that.
  12. i sent S pump your intersection waypoints yesterday. Looking back on it I probbaly would have bought gps quebec instead of Topo canada. I did like the weather alert on the lowrance.
  13. I've been trying to figure out how to integrate the waypoints I sent to you with the tracks to make a complete map as we add areas. I will PM CKF and see if we can get a GPS forum here ot exchange traccks and see if he can set he uploadable file types to include Garmin and Mpsource file extension. I actually have all of northern NH that someone on HCS compiled from different trips so it can be done.
  14. GTSE 800 has this Quebec trail map for his Lowrance unit. he likes it. I just struggle with paying $130 for it on top of the $100 for Canadian Topo and $100 US topo I already spent or probably would have done it as well.
  15. s pump send me an e-mail address and I will send garmin tracks from l'etape to HI on 23/368 and also a big chunk fo the valins area out towards pelchat. Seem to have lost the section between shipshaw and the intersection of 93 outside the ski area.
  16. Dana have a good time, saw your post on SM would love to join you but I have a work outing to the Bruins game on Thursday.
  17. agreed some of the nicest riding I've done in Quebec is in that loop.
  18. i think some region consolidating would help. Many that ride Bas St laurent for example are heading to Gaspe and many rode Chaudierre to get there so maybe just add in the Eastern Townships and make it a southshore subforum.
  19. If I buy a new sled can I tranfer my registration from the old one to the new one rather than getting a new pass?
  20. Switchback confirms that St georges to St Prosper is rideable and he listed 545 as open so should be fine
  21. 545 from St Theophile dumps out onto 55 just short of Lac Etchemin. If you want to go to St Georges and then over the orange(local) trail connects St Georges to St prosper and you can get on 545 there.
  22. Hopefully 75 issue will get resolved soon. Putting traffic on the orange trail to get back to Beauce via 55 would be a pain.
  23. it's gotten closer to par the last few weeks. Range is expected to be 95-105 over the winter.
  24. Gary hope you and Marty have a good time and hopefully he keeps it on the trail. Tell him to pack his gauntlets because he'll lose his handwarmers before L'etape based on Er's and everyone elses experience. ER- Jackman looks like it will be a good time even if the miles are low. You'll do better than I will even with that crew, taking my son on some local rides up at camp this weekend and helping out at our clubs safety class.
