  1. Welcome! Congrats on your fist QR post! "You always remember your first" But you didn't say it'd be your first ride in Quebec. Still I don't wanna assume, so sharing in case you haven't used this before: Know before you go... Go to: http://fcmq.viaexplora.com/carte-motoneige/index.html Click "Services" in the upper right corner Click “Delai de serfacage” (and whatever other "Attraits" you want to see) Click "Fermer" to close the drop down box If you switch the view from Carte (map) to Satellite, you’ll see the Whites (badness) more clearly, which are those haven’t been groomed 3+ days. THEN HEAD FOR THE GREENS & YELLOWS (GOODNESS)!! Of course real-world rider reports here (or any other reliable forum) are great confirmation. Not what you want to hear, and maybe not what your schedule will allow: But I wait until January 15th for my season opener, so there's a pretty good chances of more choices being set up.
  2. Back on point!... God Bless America and each Soul who's ever given the ultimate sacrifice for her, and for us. Politics might ordinarily by inappropriate on a thread like this, but these are far from ordinary times. And IMHO we owe it to those who've paid that price on our behalf, to keep it real by urging all honorable folks to vote. And back to the point of QR!... Just in case the Trumpster blows the corner, please save me a decent chalet with a magnificent heated garage on trail 3 by Jean Lesage Airport.
  3. Nice sunset shots out by you JG. Here's one we grabbed by Mt Joli on the way home from "summer sledding"...
  4. No gas a few weeks ago, but there was way lighter traffic than winter, so maybe they're reverse-snowbirds?... http://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4355&p=55497
  5. I deleted a couple of dirt road shots so the system allowed me to attach this mug shot!... (The site just seems a bit different since Scorpion Bowl got the keys)
  6. Here we are, counting the days, and counting the frames of video: That hairy-canary sweeper left is at 9:45, with plenty of room to miss it and recover and make it look like you meant it! Hell, if you went straight and kept going it's bound to come out somewhere right?!
  7. Good times out & about the northwest sector. Smart to set up base-camp right there. Plenty of trips to search on in the Abitibi section. http://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2902&page=3#entry33152 http://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2902&hl=bingo http://www.viaexplora.com/snowmobile/index.html
  8. Pierre @ Hotel Copper in Murdochville has a TOTALLY legit toy collection in his Musee De La Motoneige. But so sorry: "You have exceeded your allotted disk space for attachments"
  9. Oops, just realized I duped some pics from earlier posts. Pardon moi!
  10. Parallel to Chic Choc trail direction Copper Hotel. Keep right! They haul the wood AND groom all year! Surreal hitting all winter points when they're all green!
  11. Peek-a-boo, lots of mysterious signs covered up for summer?...
  12. We (I) REALLY REALLY wanted to blast up/down the 595 from La Cache!
  13. Target windmills acquired! Mission complete!
  14. First time we've seen "the rock" from the back side! And Table Roland always satisfies!
  15. Good to have some thin layers, notorious weather changes on the north shore:
  16. Can you see the cross up on the hill at Mt Louie?...
  17. WAY less stuff to pack in summer: Sebastian gave full demos and reset dream-meters: Where are we? Name that bridge!...
  18. You'll be fine in Feb. And direction doesn't matter. Read up on the many trip reports here on QR. Just keep right. And keep close to the weather reports.
  19. For the tres bon machines and rates and personal service ask for Sebastian here: www.andrehalle.com/location.htm Hey Scorp, Don very appropriately stated that we went down from Copper to the north shore, in reference to altitude, not attitude. GROOMER! It's always the icing on the cake to enjoy bacon pizza with you! Snowhor, we know you're there, would you prefer this title?... TEAM ICICLE GOES TRICYCLE! More pics to follow.
  20. Winter always seems to go WAY too fast. And the 3 off-seasons seem to go wayyyy toooo sloooow. But this sign on the 3 by Quebec City reminds me to chillax, cuz... "The path is long but life is short"
  21. There's other sites?! And those people don't ride together?! That's... NAHH!!! You kiddin?
  22. True dat! Still am now! But for different reasons!
  23. Thanks all! Past, present, and future! Admin, Sponsors, and Members! QR is a MAJOR contributor to wellness, on- and off-season!
