  4. I have about 6000km on my 2015 Renegade 600 Etec and considering a snow check this spring due to mileage on my current sled. It has always been maintained and dealer serviced. How many KM do you put on before you start to worry about reliability and trade in?

  8. We went from St. Raymond to Chicoutimi friday, back down to Lac Bouchette (Auberge Eva) on Saturday, and back to St. Raymond Sunday. Trails excellent between St. Raymond and Lac St. Jean through the mountains, a bit thin and a little beat around the lake on the east side. Trail 23, 355 and 73 excellent. We had freezing rain overnight in St. Raymond, about half inch on the truck this morning.
  9. I am getting major conflicting distances from the I Motoneige app and my GPS with TrakMaps on the distance from St. Raymond to Chicoutimi. Does anyone know the actual or approximate distance? Thank you,
  10. Our first trip to Saint Raymond up to Lac St. Jean area for a few days. Not anticipating a breakdown, relatively new sleds but one never knows. If one were to break down, is there a local service that would help out (for payment of course) ??? Have any of you had this happen to you?
  11. Thanks Jack & Sandi, great info! We have booked Centre Plein AIr Mont Vilain north west of the park for one night. Has anyone stayed here? Also wondering if Trail 23 is an express way or is it tight and twisty? We have 320 km to travel from Saint Raymond to our first stop for the night. My wife is usually only used to travel 225 to 250 a day on our mediocre trails here in eastern ontario. thanks
  12. Trail riding, leaving from St. Raymond but was unsure to go up 23 to the east or 73 through LaTuque to the west side?? Leaving St. Raymond Thursday and back to St. Raymond Sunday with my wife. We usually do 225 to 275km a day although if the trails are as good as i hear they are in that area we may do more. We are accustom to mostly running trails in Eastern Ontario. Thanks
  13. Are conditions and snow coverage and scenery / ride better on the east side or west side of Lac St. Jean. Heading up from St. Raymond and only have limited time to experience the area. Thanks All!

  15. Hi, Planning a first trip to Gaspe for us beginning to mid March. What is the snow coverage / accumulation and weather like at this time along the north shore and into the Chic Choc Mountains? Thanks for any info provided, Sledzz
  16. Trying to plan a trip to Gapse beginning / mid March. Will be trailering to Rimouski and leaving from there. We would like to travel the north shore of Gaspe peninsula and also take in the Chic Choc Mountains. likely wont have time to do the south shore this time. I have a few questions: 1- clockwise or counter clockwise for best view / scenery? 2- is 250km a day a reasonable expectation for a husband and wife team that rides a a good pace - not fast but not painfully slow 3- Is beginning / mid March generally a good time for good snow conditions? 4- Any must see things or locations along this route / area? 5- Good, clean, sled friendly accommodations with a restaurant within the hotel or very close by. Thanks for any information or input / experience you can provide. Sleddz

  20. wondering if anyone knows of a safe place in the Val De Bois or Val de Mont area that will allow truck and trailer parking overnight. Willing to pay for a safe spot where it will still be there when i get back. Thanks
  21. Looking for recommendations of hotel with decent place to eat close to Maniwaki?? Would rather a good steak than a burger. A nice place to stay with the wife.
