  1. "Thanks for the reports Don. Always great to have an update. Maybe its time to bring the new sled home?" New sled will be home in the stable this week for sure. This storm should get all the clubs going out to open up the trails this week near here.
  2. sunday 15 Dec 11F Full on Blizzard. sideways snow at least a foot so far.
  3. Sat 14 December 4F Snow Started about 10:45 pm. Wicked Cold still. Been nice and cold for quite a few days great for all the Ice Crossings. Hopefully this will be a good dump of snow.
  4. Club has meeting Monday with Ville de Quebec. To discuss right away needed for trail 3. There will be representation there from FCMQ and Tourism for QC city along with Club. Lets hope they hammer out an agreement.
  5. Everyone calls it that. Its Just where they park to go up to L'Etape when the River St. Anne is not ready yet or late in season when it opens up. I think there is no open relay there but when i was there last the Building was still there.
  6. Still confused but that is Normal. The highway is 73 by Bernieres but trail 73 is north of river. Maybe 75? PS Nice Sticker on that sled. Love It!
  7. Bernieres TQ 73? Huh? Did you drop in at Relais Lessage? River not ready yet at St. Raymond. Can you confirm?
  8. not much open out there yet. a little by Val d'or from what i see.
  9. St. Raymond to L;Etape today. from CMIQ site
  10. You got a few choices.... Everything is a little ride into town to get to. Hotel Alpin (819) 762-0991 nice enough for sure sled right outside your door. Nice restaurant for dinner, no real breakfast(last season) Maybe they change that, but they just had Continental breakfast(coffee, juice, muffins, toast cereal etc) On the other side of town Near each other Best Western 819-762-3545 never stayed at this one. Hotel Gouverneur (819) 762-2341 also near the best western. Little bit tougher to find but nice with good restaurant in it. Breafast and dinner. Alpin is a short Taxi ride to "nightlife" if its what I think you are meaning.
  11. "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges" & "Hey, where the white women at?" Funny S**T there.
  12. Good to know we got an inside connection to the President. Tell him when you talk with him to "Tell the Minister of Transport to go kick rocks with his plan to cut 20% of our trails" lol. Up the price for Passes and give more $$ from that increase to where it belongs to the clubs doing the work to maintain the trails.
  13. I wish them success. Let's hope he got some "Balls" to stand up and fight for the Snowmobilers.
  14. Hey JG Dunhamel that is where the Deer outnumber the People there yes? I remeber well there the herds of deer just chilling out on the trail and lining both sides as we passed. Was Crazy! Certainly a VTT stronghold that area. Alot of VTT action there.
  15. Here in this area the use a Groomer and drag just like the Snowmobile Club. No Plowing. And they do it alot. The Quad trail here has been groomed 3-4 times already. Sled trail 0 times. I understand the huge difference in quads to sleds for sure. You can Quad all year. So for 2$ a day you got a pass for all year.
  16. I think the Pass for VTT is like $75 for the year. But for sure not as much trail maintenance required. In the (spring, summer, fall) But i can tell you they groom (here near me) that VTT trail a hell of alot more times all winter then they do the TQ3 running right next to it. So they got the money i guess.
  17. Money Money yes. I agree with paying more for the pass i got no problem with that. VTT trails expanding all over.
  18. That is sounding better and better. These days.
  19. Seems Club Jaques Cartier is closer to Solution for TQ3. I guess they have the landowner permission needed for new trail but are awaiting permission from Quebec City gov't for a right away along a road I think to complete the new connection. Stay Tuned.

  21. Article on CMIQ site saying again that the minister of Transport is telling clubs to come up with a plan to cut trails by next season by 20%. Man this is not good. Let us hope it's all alot of hot air. In the meantime enjoy every trail you get to ride this year cause it may be gone next year. Think of how many trail passes will not be bought then. Unreal this is just unthinkable to me. Once they do something like this and crowd more people on less trails it will be finished. Old Forge North. Winter in the Caribbean is where I will be. Margaritaville.
  22. Thinking that is not the right site. It says Air Tamarac. Not seeing the right stuff on website.
  23. A few pictures from today......................Hard to see but the VTT Club groomer has been by a couple times. No action by the sled club yet, where the trail is split there nothing done yet.
  24. "Hey Iceman where did I mention your name or anyone elses? I was referring to Floridamans weather snapshot on his phone which he is more than welcome to post. I was just letting it be known that each region has a weather link in case he or anyone else did not realize that. I am grateful to anyone who posts trail / weather info just as Bernard did for years. Print can be taken out of context easily....keep up the good work ! :drinks:" OK then, if you had said what you were referring to when you posted it it would have been much clearer. moving on. all good.
  25. Ok for those that want the real time info. You are very welcome. Pipeman, you can go read the weather where the link is, Dec 10 29F Total snow from yesterday about 6" Or real close to it. Very dry snow was nice and cold. The snow we had before this settled alot with the rain last week. I would call it a foot of snow now including the new 6" I will post some pics later.
