  1. Had a good ride to Amqui today. Trails were remarkably decent considering the heat wave..
  2. I failed to take a picture of my ribeye steak, which was excellent. I will try and do better..
  3. Thanks very much! Taking the 571 today.... The temperature is warm..
  4. Unloaded in Monticello, Maine today and rode to Fort Kent. Just had a great meal at the Swamp Buck restaurant. Heading to Amqui tomorrow. Temperature was warm today. Predicted warm tomorrow. Will figure out plan tomorrow night. Hopefully temperatures cool down..

Which is the preferred hotel? Merci.
  8. Ugh, it never ends! I hope things smooth out for you! I am hoping to drive to Northern Maine tomorrow, and be back in Quebec Monday. I am in Southern Maine. We seem to be getting the jackpot of heavy wet snow. I spent two and a half hours on my tractor this morning removing the first layer of concrete. I came in at 1100 soaked to the skin, and had to start the generator.
  9. snowmaster2112, thank you for taking the time to post. Hope you all can recover from this quickly.
  10. Wow, so sad to see this. I have been following your progress. I pray that everyone is, or will be ok.
  11. Thank you. Good to know it can still be done without a reservation.
  12. Great trip and report. Thanks for sharing!
  13. I gave up on the hand signal thing. For various reasons I have a hard time keeping my hands warm. I gave up on gloves, and switched to mittens. Obviously I can still hand signal, but I can't indicate how many sleds. I bought a ride light, and I acknowledge the hand signals of other riders with a head nod, and just keep my hands on the bars. I think anyone that meets a sled on the trail, is going to expect another one, or they certainly should. I think we have all seen people signaling the closed fist, with no clue there is another group of sleds behind them, even though a mirror is required in Quebec....Also I am sure we have seen people with ride lights set on the wrong color. It is a subject that I don't think will ever go away. The bottom line is we all need to stay on our side of the trail, in control of our machine. If we can't, we are more than likely exceeding the speed limit. There is a lot of horsepower out there...
  14. That sux. I am sorry that happened to you. As has been mentioned, the early buy season pass is really the only way to go. This year mine was $300 U.S. This equates to about two days on the trail with Food fuel and lodging. I made up my mind years ago that if I am going to be in the sport, it is going to cost a lot. This is also why I have been out of the sport off and on over the last thirty plus years. If I can't ride Quebec, I have no interest in riding. I hope 2024 goes better for you.
  15. Tour De La Gaspésie 1997 Same three guys 7-14 February this year. Tour De La Gaspésie 2023 Tour De La Gaspésie 2023 Trip Report.
