  1. Did you guys install or have dealer do it? If you did it, how long was the install? I'm not familiar with lighting, but willing and able to follow step by step directions if brp put them in the kit.
  2. Anyone install and try this new kit? I think one person on the forum installed it but I haven't heard if anyone noticed a real life improvement in visibility at night.
  3. There is a gas station in Manawan village.
  4. Great pics and vids guys. Great reporting and damn I'm jealous. I want to ride now. It's 50 in NJ. Still can ride the river on my SeaDoos with wetsuit.
  5. Zec Onatchiway is private trail system. You can buy pass at Onatchiway and get food gas there. Pick up mt valin trail map not the regional one and it will show you various viewing areas. You can also head to Scoobyraid in west valin - good food and great hosts.
  6. I've done a very similar loop a few times. We usually do st Michel to clova to senneterre to chibigamou to mt valin to jonquiere to lac Eduardo to st Michel. Clova stay at Tamarac - very nice and hospitality is awesome. They like NASCAR and the cooking is great. Senneterre bellavilla has been decent. You need to walk a block or so to get food. Chibougamu Nordic and good dancing bar across the street. Senneterre to chibigamou may be your longest miles but most is on wide railbed 80mph for an hour or so comfortably and safely. You will do 200+ miles faster than you ever have that day... Chibigamou down to duval is nice, but we like playing in powder areas in west and north valin mountains so we always go east at duval. Roberval and that side of lac st jean always seems to be bare with snow cover and farmlands so its not been a favorite area although ive heard chateau roberval is nice if you drive into the city. Go to jonquiere and stay at holiday inn, now new name but was holiday inn for many years. Nice restaurant and bar and spa near by if you need it. Take cab to Jr.s or Jd's....more Quebec dancing at its finest. Saccommi lodge is absolutely awesome. That is a giant fortress in a valley. Must have spent 10-20 million building the place. The website doesn't do it justice but you will pay a pretty price to be treated like kings...great spa there so make reservations. But have Lways found that they prefer the Nordic skier to the snowmobile crowd, but clearly friendly. Never stayed at Rabaska but local Quebec friends told us its a great lodge. Echoing comments above. Seems like more of a place you stop at for a night or stay a few days, but they might not appreciate that you dropped your sleds then took off. Good luck. It's a fun loop.
  7. Thanks for the info. Bill, that day was awesome riding down to LEtape! 10 miles south of the 23 turnoff to LEtape is in fact the new trail over to Lac Eduoard. The trail had just been groomed and the scenery was really cool. Spoke to owner at LeGoualand and he said like you that the trail we be on next years map and cut off about 2 hours from our usual jonquiere to lac Eduoard trip via 355. Good seeing you again this year. Regards, Chris
  8. Was Pipmaucan lodge open for lunch? Do they have gas? Do you have gps coordinates?
  9. What camera are you using to take these pics? Looking to get a new one before upcoming annual trek to QC. Your pics are very clear.
  10. Thank you - you are correct, I called and they are closed this winter.
  11. Planned Itinerary Anyone know how trail conditions are on the following loop? If anyone could recommend hotels for 20th and 21st? Where to get gas between Chibougamau and St Felicien? Feb 18th - Cabanon Feb 19th - LeFerCheval or Parent Feb 20th - Senneterre - Need Hotel Recommendation Feb 21st - Chapais or Chibougamau - Need Hotel Recommendation Feb 22nd - Dolbeau or Scoobeyraid Feb 23rd - Jonquiere Feb 24th - Kanawata or Lac Eduoard Feb 25th - Cabanon Thanks - any help would be appreciated!
  12. Thx everyone - we will try Roquemont. Only 1 room, need 2. Desk recommended St Alexis?
  13. Stopping in St Raymond for one night as part of a 7 day loop trip. Anyone have a recommendation for a hotel that has good food, bar, and safe place for snowmobiles? Thx.
  14. Heading on a Loop from St Zenon to HI in a few weeks. Remember the gas station in L'Etape haveing burnt down a few years ago. Is there gas in L'Etape on 23 or anywhere else in between St Raymond and Jonquiere? Are they regularly grooming 23 - each year, I get different stories. Thx.
