  1. Took a trip up to the LSJ area last weekend. Departed on Saturday morning and returned Monday night. 739 miles, almost an even 250 per day. Cold starts on Sunday and Monday. Probably saw less than 20 miles of sub par conditions. Had a great time, here are some pics.
  2. If there’s no room left at the Touriste in SADL there is a municipal parking lot just up the road from the restaurant. The parking lot at the touriste is small and the groomer cuts through the middle of the lot on his way back to the groomer shed.
  3. The depanneur, gas station in town has a pretty vast selection of snacks. Chez mom Chum I believe is the actual name of the place. Not a meal per se but not ashamed to admit I have done it before. I usually opt for far too much sugar. Aero bar. Pepsi. Then cap it off with some of those raspberries they have in the candy section. But in all seriousness, no I don’t believe there are any other restaurants in Parent. If you need a meal either opt for an early lunch at 100 lacs/fer a cheval, or wait until supper time at your destination.
  4. At that point I think it’s fair to throw in a little: criss, siboire, and maybe even add a little maudis criss de TBK.
  5. Snowmobiling… it’s always an adventure. Mark & Chris thank you for keeping the pics and intel coming.
  6. Yep. Even when there is only 7 sleds at the pump one guy always seems to magically lose track of who was already waiting.
  7. Excellent report. I won’t lie I snicker every time you call the big guy lover…. My wife is on the same page as you are. I definitely like the timeline of the relive app. Merci bcp. SVP continue the pictures. Now that the 6-7-8 is over we can proceed to un petit cinq a sept.
  8. Depending on the situation, anything you have in your saddle bags. I think a pair of jeans might even work, a long sleeve shirt usually fits the bill. And yes, you do usually owe the guy towing you a new tail light, in addition to the new belt you should buy him for towing you.
  9. Ask and you shall receive, instantly. Thank you sir we are off to a good start.
  10. Ok great. So what you are saying is we will have some more sled porn to feast our eyes on by this time tomorrow.
  11. You can definitely use a NY EDL to enter Canada via land or water, not via air. We doo it all the time.
  12. Where 33 and 345 meet north of “town”.
  13. Feliz Navidad amigos
  14. Holy shit, old school member coming back into action. Welcome back. I believe Bill will be riding in Aroostook county again this year. Certainly miss him holding court at the Delta. If you want to hook up with him try the Quebec rider page on Facebook.
  15. The reserve got skunked again. Usually 23 out of sweet baby st ray is good to go 2 or 3 weeks ago. Bummer for sure. Trail map says they hit the ground near you, are we not taking our annual guess on first pass date this year? I used to like that game. Please restore for next season. I have to say, I do appreciate the trail intel you have provided over the years. Thank you, and merry Xmas. Maybe one day I will see you out and about on the trail somewhere. I usually look twice when I see a yammi like yours. It’s been a pleasure meeting many other group members over the years. I am still driving the manta color 900T. All black klim gear and an old school bv2s. Wife is on the lichen color enduro 600. Like chris said, tap the top of helmet is the QR call sign…lol
  16. The sights that come to mind are the dam north of town where 33 meets 360. The bridges that connect 360 to 345 north east of town. The river run, 360 that leads east towards Mattawin and Marineau’s for lunch is nice. It’s the straw hat zec. Chapeau de Paille. You may as well head to Koubek’s in the Mastigouche park via 23, also a forest service road similar to the river run. There is no doubt that heading up to the Repos is going to be one of your day loops. As stated above expensive and not great but a must see if you have never been. If 63 west of town is open that is a nice run to la macaza, biker bar with subpar food, but the trail makes it worth it. When referring to town I mean Saint Michel Des Saints. SMDS for short. In general I would say the best riding from La Glaciere is northwest, north, and northeast. I don’t think I would head south, maybe Alain Towing has a couple other suggestions, it’s his backyard. Now in return for the intel we expect some pictures…please
  17. You have a sick sense of humor. 😂
