  1. Hi Bill, i am heading your way tomorrow, not sure where the group (we're 6) wants to park it for the night yet. We'll be leaving from Shawinagan at 9 am and heading up to Lac St.Jean via Lac Bouchette trail maybe i can convince the guys to stay at the HS and pay you a visit before you head home. Ciou JG
  2. Snowmobiling is always an adventure, we would have nothing to talk about if it was always peaches'n cream. That's what i tell everyone i ride with, you never know what's going to happen. Good to see you guys laughed it all off.
  3. I passed through Biencourt coming from Mont Lebel on sunday, the intersection for Moosevalley was 15k before Biencourt, i was low on fuel and went into Biencourt to fill up, gas station was closed on sunday, then went to Squatech and filled up, did'nt turn back, took the 369 into Degelis. All trails groomed and in good shape, Squatech trails needed some work.
  4. That's just crazzzzzzy stuff.
  5. Those are some nice pics of the trail up there, with this new snow blowing in i can't imagine what they will be like aftrwards. Hmmm now i need to go and burn some gas.lol. Does anybody know what was that car doing in the trail???
  6. That's ok i'll forgive you.lol. :) Ha Ha Ha Ha, i tell everyone that snowmobiling is always an adventure, we would have nothing to talk about if it was always peaches'n cream. JG
  7. Winter gathering was alot of fun, i got to meet a great bunch of guys that share the sport i passionately love and most of all i got to meet the elusive Groomer himself. Big thank you for those tabletop trails and all those pics. I hope to hook up with more of you guys in the futur and make a ride together. Yesterday morning i left the Vallon at 6am heading for New Brunswick on a solo ride, and it was fearsely cold in the morning i tell ya, must've been around -30 or so 'cause during my ride back the display glass on my gauges had frosting up and i only see that happen when it's really cold. I arrived in NB around 2pm with 340klms on the odometer, i had planned on riding through Moosevalley but when i arrived in in Biencourt i was low on gas and the gas station is closed on sundays in town(the only one), i knew from my level i didn't have enough to get down to Moosevaley so change of plans, head to Squatech for gas and head for Degelis to get into NB. All trails were freshly groomed the night before and i was...in most cases the first one on them, i was soooo spoiled, made for a smooth ride back. Total milage for my first ride this season 992klms. Heres some pics. Big cheers to Groomer. Chin chin mon ami. Hooked up with Crazysnow and his bro in RDL We had a tough time battling a snowstorm going through the Squatech area. Trails were hard to see and markings were very little. Here's the guy we came from miles all over to meet. On my way back to NB On my way back to NB On my way back to NB The border The border

  19. Thanks Whaler, good info to know. Can't wait to hit the trails.
  20. Thanks Coldsmoke1, i am familiar with the railbed leading into NB from RDL. A few years back my dad a i were heading to NB to visit family, i took my sled to do a bit of riding, he dropped me off in RDL at the Universal and from there we both left for Edmonston, me by sled and him by truck. I got there 15 minutes before he did, you should have seen the look on his face.
  21. Weather report this morning forecasted a 10-15cm accumalation for thursday and a 5-10cm accumalation for friday across the province, i can't tell you how much this will be appreciated and in the nic of time to boot, riding will be awesome in and around the gathering.
  22. Top pic looks like it was taken on the porch of 100 Lacs. Keep those bags packed, gathereing is coming quickly and you don't want to miss the great Gaspe.
  23. Just got first hand info on Ch.Lepine from a friend of mine this afternoon who has a camp on Ch.Vimont. The Lepine road is plowed and sanded from highway 117 to Pensive/Ch.Vimont, grooming has not started yet from the Baskatong, there is supposed to be a groomed trail parallel to Ch.Lepine through the sanded area but it hasn't been done yet. So for all of those Lepine road enthusiates you will have to wait a little longer.
