  1. The Select will be a great spot for a Gathering! Pool, hot tub, great bar inside and patio. The weekend of the Gathering is also the kite/hang glider festival at Mont Saint Petrie. They launch off at the look-out over town, you can also pay and ride tandem down with a pilot. An option for those not riding with JG.
  2. I like the stump and branch, very crisp and clear.
  3. Really nice looking job JG, we call it a Commercial Thinning. Snap a picture of the big porter when it comes in to put the wood out. The young juvenile plantation wood is always heavy!!
  4. I am booked in for this gala event!! I will mention the weekend to the Japanese embassadour, Mr Chin. The man that made the expression famous "where is Mike?"
  5. I am always up for a party in the Gaspesie. Only condition is Jean Guy has to make a speech! LOL
  6. Great first pic of the glass of wine on the camp table. Glad to see your in for the season. Looking forward to your pics.
  7. Good to see you made it to the camp. Now that you have a set of tracks through the snow on the road it wont take long for the rest of it to melt. You have had a long enough vacation, time to start cutting up firewood!! LOL Spring has been a long time coming to the Matepedia this year.
  8. Is that the bridge just outside of town? There is a funky statue beside it across the road?
  9. From the look of the river, spring thaw is well underway in the Gaspesie!!
  10. That will be pretty cool for sure. Be sure to post a couple pics of your ride. Hope it is a "Blue Bird Day"!!
  11. I had planked sea trout on the weekend. Very tasty too!!
  12. A cedar plank and a BBQ would make that salmon look a lot better!!
  13. Year before last I sent it regular mail and got it in April.
  14. To receive the rebate you must apply for the rebate within 10 day of purchasing the permit. I have in the past called them when I thought it was taking too long. It should be in within two weeks, after that maybe call.
  15. Wow. I could use a pile of wood like that!!!
  16. I have 18,000 miles on my 2010 Renegade 4 stroke. I haven't decided if this is the year to upgrade or not, however would not hesitate to run another season on this one.
  17. You will have a summer for sure.....now having any spring may be a different story!!
  18. JG's winter friends may be gone for 8mths, my snowshoe trip is considered a spring trip. JG has become the "Go To Guy" of the Gaspesie!! He has visitors in all 4 seasons. I have been lucky enough to be there in all seasons, summer is incredible and the fall when the leaves are changing can be breath taking.
  19. Just in case anyone is wondering if there is still snow, we drove to Ste Margarite to see. The house behind JG's truck is the first one as you cross the road heading toward Causpscal coming from the cable bridge!! We left there and headed toward Point a la Croix and saw the Coast Gaurd Hovercraft Thanks again Jean Guy for a great weekend
  20. It was a great weekend, thanks Jean Guy! I will post a couple of my pics from the weekend most similar to JG, we were in the same place LOL His picture taking skills far exceed mine. A couple sunset pics Thursday night up where they are erecting the new windmills. Some pics from our snow shoe expedition.
  21. Nice crisp, clear deer pictures. I bet you can't drive to the camp on your 4 wheeler now!!
  22. How did everyone do this year for mileage with the extended season? Unfortunately I ran out of money before snow haha 4130 miles for the winter
  23. Happy Birthday from Nova Scotia Bill. Hope you have a great day.
