  1. How much new snow today in Temisk. Nytro Man?
  2. Louvicourt to Sennetere a bit choppy last weekend-Louvicourt to Val-d'Or up 83/307 to Amos or 309/313 all good-some logging on 309/313 for short distances-3' of neige in bush!
  3. Val-d'Or/Amos/Senneterre/Louvicourt all good last weekend-a bit bumpy in corners but hopefully groomed out now-21/2-3 feet neige!
  4. Ville Marie to Rouyn all good-believe Belleterre to Ville Marie fine also-can't comment on Joncas-not been there this year.
  5. I believe the Comfort Inn is just slightly off-trail whereas the Forestel is right on the trail
  6. Linda-stay in Val-D'Or-only a 1/2 hour from Malarctic-Forestel is right on the trail @ the E. end of Town-not much in Malarctic except the gold mine!
  7. Just back from 3 days @ Temiskaming/Val D'Or/Rouyn Noranda-trails good-hard-1-2" new snow Sat. nite-still 2 ft. in bush. U would be fine from Val D'Or/Amos/La Sarre/ Rouyn-roads/town streets bare
  8. Possibly Val D'Or area + towards Chibougamau-heading to V.-D. Friday
  9. While leading a saddlebag group north of Temiskaming a few years ago I saw what I thought was a deer loping along in front of us about a half mile ahead. As I got closer it stopped and turned sideways to look back @ us and I saw a bushy tail and realized it was no deer. I signalled to the guy behind me to come up beside me and as we got closer we realized it was a very large timber wolf. It stayed on the trail till we almost caught up to it then jumped off and as we got up to where it had gotten off it was no more than ten feet away baring it's fangs and snarling at us as we went by. As soon as the last rider passed it jumped right back on the trail and kept loping along behind us. He wasn't scared of us @ all. We didn't stop for quite a few miles after & wondered out loud what would have happened if we'd been alone/broken-down on the trail @ dusk and he'd come along?
