  1. Anyone know where this can be done? Any clubhouse? Do you need to turn in the old sticker? How about an out of state Maine reg??
  2. I have had pretty good coverage with Verizon in different parts of Quebec. I do use a lot of Analog though. Many times I have service and my friends ATT phone does not. It's about $.65/min
  3. I have a verizon tri-mode phone. It seems to work the best since I get the analog signals in the smaller areas. Not all new phones do analog.
  4. Anyone know if these maps are the same products?? http://www.canadianmaps.ca/GPS_Garmin_Maps..._for_GARMIN.htm http://www.trakmaps.com/secure/catalog/pro...products_id=568 Scorpion where did you see the lowrance version??
  5. Rode Chaudiere/BSL this past weekend. AWESOME!!! Jackman to RDL on Saturday was PERFECT. I have never seen TQ5 groomed so nice it was a perfect 10. TQ75, 545, TQ55, TQ35, 526 were only 9.5. Saw maybe 10 sleds on Saturday. Sunday we headed back toward Lac Etchemin took 5 to 557 to 35 and it was a blizzard by the time we got to Pamphile. Couldn't see the stakes in the fields or even the trail on the power lines half the time. Lots of fun!!! Saw another 9-10 sleds... Saturday we broke trail from Lac Etchemin back to Jackman. 1'-4" drifts the whole way. we did meet the groomer from Beauce a few miles out so we had a few miles of grooming. The rest was fresh untracked powder. Saw NO sleds all day. A big thanks to Fauvo (SP?) from the Beauce clubhouse. He went out of his way to help us find the re-route for 75 south. Hopped on his Skandic SWT and led the way. The drifts were so deep even he got stuck!!! The new snow had completely covered all previous tracks and some signs. Without him we would still be driving around that highway mess trying to find it!!!!! Then digging out the truck in the Jackman clubhouse was the price we had to pay for all that fun.
  6. Just did that ride this weekend. See my post in the Chaudiere section...
  7. There is definitely fuel in Sacre coure. I think the other trail you are talking about is the Pelchat trail. It cuts over from 3 to 93. I believe it starts in Les Escoumins. Ends up near the Chappell. No services on the trail at all. Nothing. quite remote. Nice trail though. There is gas at both ends. (Chappell, Les Escoumins)
  8. Good to see you got out already Gary. We are doing that ride tomorrow. Hopefully the trails are still fantastic. What route did you take???
  9. Thanks RR. We are going to stop by and see if Margot is there tomorrow just to say hi so we can get the other's name then. We are riding to RDL tomorrow what route do you suggest? 35 to green 526 to Hotel Levesque or should we try to jump on to TQ5? Chris
  10. Anywhere alse people have stayed in the BSL, Chaudier area? We are riding from RDL Sunday and need to stay someplace that night. A reasonable ride back to Jackman (220 Miles or so) is preffered. Looking to do 200-250Mi ride SundayCabano/RDL is just a little to far for the last day plus a 5 hr drive home..... Unfortunatly... Margot's is not available too/
  11. I am not sure the outside carbide does a whole lot except smash in to rocks on the side of the trail. SkiDoo does not even install a second carbide on the 08 Pilots.... I use a 6" on both. When the center one wears I just swap them. Kind of a spare carbide carrier....
  12. Thanks Andre. We'll stop by Saturday. How much $$ is Gas this year?? Chris
  13. We can't stay at Margots this Sat as she has a prior commitment. I can't remember how far Cabano is from Relais 540?? RR?
  14. You can cross the river in tadousacc and ride up through Valin (TQ93) on the way back. No back tracking if you stay west of the river on the way down. Real nice ride that way. Gas in Sacre Coure and La Chappell(cash only I hear) up in Mt Valin. The Saguenay Map has all the gas stops. Are you looking to trailer all the way to the HI?
  15. The best resource I ave found is the regional paper maps. Unfortunatly each one comes from a seperate place. If you ask on here I am sure we can help too.... Where are you going?
  16. One way to do it is you could register in Maine. $68 for a non resident. You can do it online. It might be easier(less expensive) than paying sales tax or other fees to NY if you havn't already. Then of course you need your trailpass for Quebec. Don't forget you would also need a pass for Ontario if you wanted to go there too.
  17. Hang in there ER. Good thing for insurance and the fact it happend now instead of February or March.... Last year during the race we were sitting at the clubhouse in St Sabine talking with a group from Maine about your progress. They were watching closely as we were were too. Lots of people out there pulling for you guys.
  18. That is our route for next weekend. Looking forward to a dinner from Margot myself!!! Thanks for the report
  19. Nevermind RR.... I saw your post over in the Bas St Laurent after I asked.... Thanks...
  20. RR, What route did you ride this weekend?? We are planning to ride from Jackman to Relais 540 This Saturday. Anything we should look out for?? Chris
  21. RR, Is that Mr Geneau's (guy who drives a motor home) Elite at the B&B? Chris
  22. Hi Andre, See you on the 15th. We are planning on staying with Margo & Geatan for a few nights... Chris
  23. I use the Choko Rev bag. It mounts on the top of the trunk. Great bag but it definitly changes the center of gravity. My next bags will mount as low as possible.
